My bad, that is a known issue and you are not the only one to encounter it. If you press Right Shift on your keyboard, your position on the current screen resets, which should allow you to continue playing. Sorry I don't have a more elegant solution for you.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. I totally agree that gender selection options in games are frustrating and limited (I am trans). When I decided to add a 'gender select' screen to the game, I wanted to subvert and poke fun at the idea. The character's sprite is identical except for having either a forwards or backwards baseball cap, which was meant to highlight the absurdity and futility of gender selection in games, and binary gender in general.
