Really cool game with really nice aesthetics. The slow, gradual zoom and the audio compression really sell the 'old camcorder' effect, and with the graininess of the video, the birds look almost real. The audio is amazing, too, with all the buttons having a nice click to them, the keyboards even having separate sound effects for when you interact and stop interacting with them, and the fridge having a little hum to it when open. I also like the visual indicators for the secret ending, with The Fellas appearing for only brief moments in the flashes of lightning. So overall, it has a great atmosphere, great attention to detail, and a nice, imposing feel. The only negative I really have with this game is that, while the first playthrough is a cool exploration and experience, once you've seen the normal ending, there's really nothing left to do but look for Them and wait if you wanna boot the game back up.
Also I couldn't really find a great place to put this but I really like how exiting the game is handled, either fading out until the game closes itself upon getting an ending or the video borders closing in until there's nothing left when exiting manually
The only real complaint I have with this game is the tank controls on the soul, but that's kind of a me problem tbh I'm just not a fan of tank controls in general
Fun, interesting platformer with an OST that's sauced to like kind of a strange degree honestly, with bizarre, almost dreamlike sequences and a player character that can projectile vomit its soul before reabsorbing it to turn itself into a projectile of varying momentum.
Fun little JRPG, very short and only has 4 unique fights from the 5 available, but every fight keeps itself at least somewhat interesting and all attacks generally have good tells to them (I couldn't quite figure out Ashley's eyebeams though lol). The style is something significant of note, and the writing is rife with dry, self-aware and somewhat satirical humor. I feel that the way items, skill progression, and resources were utilized was really well suited for the length of the game, too.
Also shoutouts to DIO lol
Very interesting. I will say, the end did take me a while to get through, prob longer than it should've honestly, but I overall really enjoyed this. Something of note is that you can choose not to attack the figures and (iIrc, been a while lol) they won't aggro, leaving a bit more to think about in an already very thought-provoking project.
