A unique take on the theme, wrapped in a rather sweet cowboy aesthetic. You very clearly challenged yourself technically with some of the design choices here, which makes it all the more impressive and surprising that this is your first finished game. It's not an easy task (still not sure I've managed it myself), so extra kudos for that!

Thanks for the feedback! There's definitely scope to add more elements like that, some of which I planned out but didn't have time to add, so it's nice to hear it created the intended feeling. Hoping to keep on it as a learning experience at least

Thank you! It's definitely more of a prototype than a game and missing a lot of the elements that I originally concepted, but glad the core idea shone through enough with the limited time I had. I'll continue working on it as a way of structuring my learning, if nothing else

Thanks for such an in-depth write up, I really appreciate you taking the time to play and comment.

Very glad to hear you found the movement felt right, that's something I was tweaking up until the deadline as I wanted to focus on the gameplay as a priority (I do think it could be smoother / less buggy, but that'll require more time to figure out).

It's certainly barebones in its current form and isn't going to set the world alight, but I'm hoping that it can be a foundation for a solid little project to continue learning with, and your comment will be a big help with that!

This is unbelievably good, and would be an impressive full release let alone a jam project, you should be really proud! Such brilliant theming and satisfying game loop that leaves you wanting more, I hope you develop this further because with an extension to the overall objective/progression, you could have something very successful here.

I was all over this, got so addicted to trying to progress further and further. At first I thought "there's no way I'll lose track of what number I'm on", but you made it progress in difficulty really nicely so by the end I was frantically trying to keep track of my next number without losing the rhythm in my head

Such a polished and satisfying experience, really great work! My personal favourite part is the character getting squished by the box compacter, a really fun little detail to fit in for the jam

Ha! I appreciate the honesty, I was just happy to get something out compared to my previous jams

So inventive, a really cool way to take the theme! Even with just this basic jam version, it felt like the times I died were because of my own decisions alongside RNG, trapping myself in routes that required a single number provided that satisfying "one more run, I can do better!!"

Really inventive and concise game loop, felt really satisfying when nailing a bunch of shots in a row or juggling a coin with the wrong bullet until you get the right one in the chamber, great job!

Wow, this is so polished! I love the way the audio progresses and keeps you locked in to getting through the waves as fast as possible (the boss fight music felt very "80s action movie" which felt epic). Great job!

Thank you so much, I'm almost ashamed at how many of my creative ideas spawn from puns! Glad you found the pickups added to the distraction of keeping track of the countdown, that was very much the intention and feels like an area where the idea could be expanded.

A really cool way to interpret the theme and one that could I could definitely see being expanded upon. I love the art style too!

Love this! Relaxing and insightful whilst also providing some classic roguelike elements to make you want to go back a try different combinations of art pieces

Great game! A lovely way to interpret the theme and tell a story about the beauty of imperfections in our memories
