Thank you so much! I did just have the one ending for now so I didn't end up sprawling too much lol, but will definitely have to add some more branching down the line. Glad that jumpscare worked out, but also sorry about that haha. Definitely want to figure out a web build for future versions, dang Ren'py wouldn't cooperate for me in time sadly.

Absolutely adorable main character. The animation is excellent and has such good, like, squishiness to it. I was also unfortunately stuck at the green bubbles section as well unless I died, and flew through a lot of keys but got stuck after that. Love the concept, would definitely love to see where this little kitty goes!

Fun lil murder game! The player character's unhinged little smile gave me a good laugh. Loved it.

Really cool idea! Took me a minute to figure out the mechanic but I think I understand. I wasn't able to find the second (or maybe third) pumpkin unfortunately, but still had fun! Awesome work!

Same here, no worries. Our projects will get there one day lol xD

Beautiful game, in both visuals and story. I loved the art style and the color/light/darkness contrast to communicate across scenes. The jumps and movement controls felt really nice and natural as well, which is really tough to nail with platformers like these. Fantastic job!

Fantastic project! Super excited to follow along for this one. I love this kind of subject and to see it blended with an RPG style like this is wicked cool. Awesome!

Thank you! Rad to hear that came across as I was definitely going for that. Very eager to get to work on this more in future!

What a lovely story! Death is a pretty cool dude, I like him. Excellent work. =)

Thank you!! It was a blast to craft those jumpscares lol. Thrilled to know they landed lol. But also I"m sorry xD

Thank you! Definitely planning on fleshing this out into a full game when there's time. Will likely aim to polish this 'prologue' of sorts and go from there. >:D

Thank you!! I'm very excited to get to flesh this out with animations and everything once there's time lol. Someday.

I really, really like the concept of this one and would love a full version. I agree with the other comments that say the initial progression is quite slow - I got to my fourth or fifth shift and still only have 6 guys for the majority of a five minute shift, so the waiting can get quite tough. With some tuning on that I would DEFINITELY play this regularly. I also unironically need the 'born to reap' sweater rofl. Cheers!

Very interesting concept! I like the use of darkness to make pathfinding more challenging, and the art side of the light sphere looks really good. I admittedly had a hard time not getting swarmed pretty hard by the enemies since they seem to have strong player-seeking, which could become a bit frustrating when paired with the dark. Does make for a good jump scare though lol! Awesome work!

Fun experience! I was surprised how much stuff I had to throw at our pal before he was scared enough lol. Shoutout to Mr Forg, excellent lol.

I love Pepito.Li'l man's got it rough lol. SUPER creative death/powerup puzzle idea! Excellent work! For anyone stuck, abilities are bound to SHIFT on keyboard. At least that's how it worked for me lol.

Gorgeous visuals and a bangin' soundtrack! I'm bad at bullet hells so I didn't get far but I love the idea!

Thank you! Slay the Princess was definitely a huge inspiration so that's great to hear! ^^

No worries! I tried to get Renpy to cooperate but it just refused unfortunately. Hopefully I can sort it out someday lol.

ooh gotcha! Will definitely give that another shot then!

Love this idea! Rock paper scissors as a fighting came is super cool and the character designs/artwork are fantastic. I had some trouble with the flashing VFX, so if there's ever a full version I'd love to have an option to turn those off. Excellent work!

Absolutely immaculate visuals, a very fun concept AND a cat main character? I'm sold. Would LOVE a full version of this game, 10/10.

This is such a cute and fun concept! I enjoyed it a ton. I did unfortunately get stuck at one point because I talked to Eagly a second time, but that's okay. He's a very charming duck.

Gorgeous game! Excellent use of color and all the sprites are delightful. Would absolutely adore a version that supports gamepad so definitley yell if that's ever an option! Love all the dialogue from the grim reaper too. I too would love a pizza party in lieu of health care LOL.

This is such a fun and creative idea, ESPECIALLY as a response to the jam theme! Excellent work, I loved it.

Absolutely gorgeous game. I love the art style and the subtle touches in the animation, like how the lights shift left to right a bit every few frames. The painterly look fits super well with the story. I also enjoyed the little Undertale reference! The four endings were fun and ending D gave me a good laugh. Great work! Sláinte!

Thank you!! Totally, the text kind of got away from me even though I made sure to restrict it to three "acts" so to speak. Since It's my first jam too I didn't know there could be a team in charge of actually getting through EVERY game (is how my husband just explained it to me, anyway), but now that I know I'm definitely gonna squash any future jams down a fair bit haha

Thank you so much! =)

Thank you!! I'm definitely hoping to get back to it and complete the whole thing. These characters have been in my head for a while now lol.

Thank you so much!! ;___;

Shortish horror visual novel here! TY in advance to all who rate! I SUPER appreciate it as this was my first solo game. https://itch.io/jam/jamsepticeye/rate/3933393

Good to know re: the app! I didn't even know there was an app lol - I"ll see if I can hopefullly get that fixed. Thank you! =)
