I don't comment often but this is such a phenomenal game that I can't help but write down my thoughts on this. The art and gameplay is of course beautiful and mostly easy to navigate respectively but oh my god. The story. spoilers ahead.
It's been quite a long time since I've come across a game here that incorporates so many elements of different genres in such a neat way. The snail foreshadowing and then how you explore the relationship between Austin and Riley, in how it is subtle enough to be simple friendship and at the same time just enough smidgens of something more. Regardless of how people incorporate it, codependent friendships are such a wonderfully complex topic that I think so many people go through at any point in life but it simply is not portrayed in media. The first relationship you make with a stranger is friendship after all.
