What an adorable little game! It was spot on. It touched that part of my heart that also wishes to be a monster. If everything I do is considered wrong, then I will go my own way. It's sad that we are all treated like that for our differences, yet we all decide to become the monsters of our dreams. It's powerful. Thank you for sharing this!
The most obvious one is the Knowledge, which will be very high in a small level, and probably make any hacking too easy, so you won't be able to use it as a dramatic plot point often. Although I haven't used it yet, some of the skills seem too powerful, such as using two Apps per round. Those will be probably fine if you play solo or just with a player and a GM (which was probably your intention from the beginning), but since I play with three players I instantly thought how that would work in a group.
I played this twice already. When I first started it up, it said there was a problem loading a file, but it was fine after I closed it and opened it again. Although it lacks in graphics, the atmosphere remains dreadfully oppressive and you can clearly feel the pressure Nha is going through. The last scene is visceral, and it's overall a nice experience, despite how short it may be.
Just finished it and got the True Ending first try. To say I enjoyed it would be a severe understatement. The art, the music, the plot, everything was picture perfect, and the humour was just my taste! I will definitely play it again and yap about it to my friends. Before I knew it, I was having a little party with voice acting everyone. Goose was my favourite character, I wish I was them. I'll keep an eye out for the rest of your work!
I want to talk about the imps for a minute. I think the imps represent people's repressed negative feelings, and so they're different for everyone. For example, Faraday's imp seems to represent lots of negative self talk and crushed confidence, while Maggie seems more like Harry's feelings for Faraday, or the dysphoria he felt, or both, and maybe more.
Thank you for this great game!!!!!!!
There is a character in a book I'm trying to write, and I thought she's a bit flat, so I played the game with her, and now her storyline is greatly improved. On top of that, it was so fun to write, and I really enjoyed how general the prompts are, since it allows you to use the game for all sorts of different genres. Thank you!
This little game preoccupied my mind for a lot of days as I was playing it. I really enjoyed it, and I also loved the thought of having it as a pamphlet in me, as it was very thematic and well placed. I will definitely play it again, maybe this time by drawing instead of writing!
I also loved how accessible it was, since it used cards instead of dice, so more people can play without having to rely on digital dice rollers or having to buy dice!
