Thanks. Gave it a try but unfortunately theres some problems.
You can't scroll down in the city or stats page and overall the UI feels very claustrophobic. There's so much empty space at the top i dont see why I can only have 1 or 2 businesses/upgrades shown at one time.
The main issue though is the game doesn't feel balanced. Kinda just feels like a sandbox game where you're instantly rich. There is no gradual progression or waiting. Within 15 minutes I had almost every business and upgrade. Doesn't feel like much to play for let alone prestige. (Also no idea where the prestige button is).
Hello again :D thanks for the update. Saw the notification and spent the last couple days getting every available upgrade. Glad to see chests are still good but the balance is better for sure. Also love the chronos tree. Didn't mention it last time but the cannon shots when you crit is super satisfying. The following are suggestions and bugs;
Berserk Mode does not increase damage as advertised. Would also be nice to have a button to maybe activate/cancel berserk mode whenever you want.
Some type of indicator (small purple arrow or some sort) to let you know chests are offscreen after you unlock the chest finder upgrade since you can't rotate camera. (I like the fixed camera btw)
An end run button.
Skip chest opening animation/music if you hit play or upgrade as you can't click where the chest animation is until it's done. Also skip the money multiplier sound as it'll keep going until it finishes.
Maybe rename "Luck" upgrade to "Chest Luck" to eliminate any confusion.
Range upgrade is a bit ambiguous. It's hard to tell how much its actually improving ya know? Maybe add some type of visual to the swing. Visually seeing an upgrade's effect makes it more rewarding to the player
Perhaps a chrono tree upgrade so you instantly start at a higher tier tree?
Anway, fun game!
In an attempt to be fair and objective I decided to give the game another try. Starting from the prologue I still think it was written with help from AI, but the interlude and the bit of ch.1 I've made it to are almost completely without those same patterns. Idk what changed but interlude and ch.1 feel like a well written human made story. I feel no shame in admitting I could be wrong and since I can't be sure I will delete my original comment. I also offer an apology to the author if this story was made 100% without ai writing.
Yes and I'll add context here. I used to be pretty into chatbots before I learned the perils of AI and the theft that occurs for it to be able to produce these types of stories. I also read a decent amount of old fantasy books, the kind that give AI that general writing style.
To me if feels pretty obbious just reading the prologue that it's at least written with the help of ai with some of the more obvious and repetative patterns removed or reworded. If people enjoy that it's their prerogative but its personally annoying to search for these types of games with the no ai tag and still find them which is why I left my original comment.
