Had a blast with this jam. Learned a ton with the little game I made.

I love that. You and I are similar in that I also want to work on 2D games. I've loved working with pixel art for years, and now that I'm learning game dev skills, it feels so good to see my little silly ideas come to life.
I recently picked up a Godot bundle course from Humble Bundle that has a TON of information. I'm not nearly any near completed lol. My friend, who told me about the Humble Bundle and Game Jams on Itch.io, and I joined our first game jam last weekend and I decided to join another this weekend.
I also watch some videos on certain things that aren't covered in the courses.
I guess if you are gonna use AI, that is one of the better ways to do so lol
This was the first game I played for this jam, before the rating opened up.
I really think this is such a cool idea, of swapping layers mid-jump. The mechanic reminded me of the Mario Bros. ON/OFF switches that swap blocks from red to blue.
When I got the the hell portion, I kept struggling to survive. Turns out you can just hug the left corner lol!
Fun and simple. Fantastic work!
Thank you for appreciating the art!
Doing the traditional art was something I was convinced, for a day or so, would be an awful choice because of the time required to draw it all - mistakes and everything.
One of the screenshots shows almost all the pages used for it, and I couldn't even implement like 60% of them 😔
