That's pretty dumb. What's even the point of putting the options there anyway?

Does anyone know how much charm you need to stop the hunter from killing you? I have literally done everything to gain charm and mercy, I didn't kill a single animal, a single person, and I always made sure to pick an option that used or gained charm and no matter what she kills me. Is this a bug or am I just meant to die and forced to rely on the wolves and naho for help? I went to the walkthrough and I checked all the ways to get charm in act one and two and did all of them, no matter what I get the same results, I say I'm sorry, she then kills me, and I restart.
