Thanks for playing! I was going for a sterile and not-very-homely atmosphere, something creepy that matches with the mc's memory, If you die enough times you'll see that a lot of objects around you just stop existing.

Thanks for letting me know, I'll see what the problem is and patch it after the jam ends.

I'm probably doing this wrong, but I am unable to play this? The money I have initially is 5k, I buy enough items to completely fill the inventory and then I choose 'deliver'. I reply 'yes' at do you have the drop and the eye turns red and I die. When I try to play again my money is 0. I am, however, able to buy stuff with 0 money so idk what's happening. I have tried using the materials I buy on the main screen monster before clicking yes. I still keep dying before even entering the game? I saw the attached video, so I'm sure something needs to be done to enter the actual game, but I am unable to find out what I'm supposed to do.

The art is A M A Z I N G! I wanted to focus on the other aspects too, all of them are well made but the VISUALS they took my soul! This is beautiful. The gameplay is interesting, and the entire experience is so smooth and polished! This is an absolute gem. (Also can I just say that holographic card style is SO FREAKING GOOD!!!!) I'm adding this to the collection of games to replay this is a solid 10 from me I hope you keep working on this even after the jam.

You play as a ghost trying to find his killer: https://illusyra.itch.io/the-day-i-died

My first published game! https://illusyra.itch.io/the-day-i-died

ooh that sounds cool! I'll try playing again to experience that feature!

Hi! I played your game and I must say it was made so well! One of the best story based games I've played in this jam so far. Mine is a story based game too, you can check it out here: https://illusyra.itch.io/the-day-i-died

It's both first jam and first game for me. I love your team's style and would love to collab one day (tho I make games primarily in Unity). Y'all are very creative

I love what you did with the pixelated people. Also, that alibi pronounciation was so funny! I absolutely loved how you injected emotions into the characters by using pixelated people. Story and dialogue is also fleshed out well.  THE ENDING IS WRITTEN SO WELL YOU BROKE THE FOURTH WALL!!!! I was so invested in the game and you made it so well! The ending makes it so worth it! I love this style!!

Yes, that's a known bug that I'll patch after this jam. Thanks for playing!

I'll look into that bug after this jam TvT. Thanks for playing!

Tried your game, it was good. Here's mine: https://illusyra.itch.io/the-day-i-died

The puzzles were nice but a bit repetitive. Took me a while to get a hang of the controls, but it was enjoyable to play. The font of the title reminded me of undertale XD

Good job on the voice acting and art. The game feels very polished. Also, your pause menu really gave me trust issues XD. I thought we were supposed to find the murderer but the game ended right after the murder? Seems like more content will be added later. Adding this to my collection with the hope that this gets continued because I really like the art style.

I really wanted to do the tasks myself they were fun to do XD

Interesting game, game amongus vibes. The spiral game was fun but the arrow game felt a bit buggy. sometimes my keys didn't register. I thought maybe it was a timing issue so i checked it again and again but nope, the keys just didn't register sometimes. Still a good game that is very replayable.

that makes sense! I'll try hitting them in the back (I should've thought of that before, considering they have literal shields XD)

(1 edit)

THIS WAS SO FUN TO PLAY!!!! The controls were legit so fun to use (though my fingers and keyboard might have suffered a bit) But creating new controls as a solo dev in just 7 days and making a full blown game (along with a proper tutorial) is absolutely crazy! This is living permanently in my collections to play later.

This was actually very fun to play. I didn't find out what that brain(?) (in level 2) was for though. Rope mechanic felt very fresh. At first I didn't know new questions were being added for the suspects, took me a few playthroughs, but it was clever to add that. I love detective games and yours was very interesting to play.

Enoon was indeed humerus and his skull was indeed hollow. A very punny game and the aesthetics fit the vibes this is going for. The camera changes were a bit jarring because sometimes the controls flipped along with the camera. I could see the graveyard but couldn't see enoon and ended up flitting between the graveyard camera and the path cameras. I love the dialogues, though, and I'd love to play this again if you end up expanding it after the jam ends.

Love the aesthetics, the second day was a bit hard to play. Did the enemies also have a health bar? I couldn't find it anywhere..... that enemy with the shields(are those cops?)  were difficult to kill, esp when I couldn't see their health bars. I really like the art style. Great work!

The driving felt a bit hard for me (it's 100% a skill issue on my part) The game was fun and interesting and matched the theme quite well.

Ah, If you collect enough clues you get the true ending (screen starts turning dark and you're unable to click on anything) I really should've given an indication of that, it can be confusing. The inability to move after stepping up something is a bug, I was too late to correct it for this jam TvT.

Thanks for playing! I'll be sure to correct the functional issues after the jam ends to mke the experience better

Thank you! I tried my best and I'm glad it was enjoyable for you

This is exactly why I said trust no one, not even the dev XD. Thanks for playing!

Nailed the voice acting. The vibes match the theme perfectly! I didn't understand at first that you can't move while the agent is speaking. The drifter that jumped out at first jumpscared me so bad cuz it kept attacking and my crowbar didn't swing (or maybe I died before I could swing? XD Really should've read the warnings on the game page before playing)

Game is great, it has a lot of potential and did I mention how good the voice acting is? It's crazy that one person made this!

On my phone rn so I can't play it for the moment but adding it to my collection so that I can play tomorrow. Here's my game: https://illusyra.itch.io/the-day-i-died

Adding your game to my collection for when I have access to my desktop. Here's the link to my game: https://illusyra.itch.io/the-day-i-died

Hi! I'm a solo dev and it's also my first jam!

Adding your game to my collection cuz I don't have access to a desktop rn

Here's my game: https://illusyra.itch.io/the-day-i-died

This is my first jam and also the first game I published! https://illusyra.itch.io/the-day-i-died

Your game seems interesting! Adding it to my collection to check it out as soon as I can!

I'd love constructive feedback (that's gentle on my mistakes) : https://illusyra.itch.io/the-day-i-died

Adding your game to my collection so that I can play yours as soon as I can!

Hi! My game is https://illusyra.itch.io/the-day-i-died

It's a story based game where you play as a ghost who's trying to find his killer. I'll take a look at your game tomorrow!

Mine is a mystery game that you play as a ghost. You are convinced somebody in your family killed you, and now you must find out who the killer was by moving around the house trying to find clues and retracing your actions on the day you died. I can't say anything more about the story because it would make it, well, less mysterious. Here's the game, if you ever decide to play it: https://illusyra.itch.io/the-day-i-died

Your game sounds super interesting, I'll be sure to check it out when I'm on my pc!

Hi! Here's my story based mystery + psychological horror game: https://illusyra.itch.io/the-day-i-died

I'll check out your game too!

https://illusyra.itch.io/the-day-i-died

This is my game. Your game seems interesting!

Hi! Here's my story based mystery game

https://illusyra.itch.io/the-day-i-died

This is my first published game and I'd really love feedbacks!

The fight is a bit repetitive and I never found the way to attack the enemy first, it was always an ambush for me :(

The script was written well, the narration was funny. Audio SFX fit the game perfectly and I absolutely loved the artstyle. The game felt very polished. I feel like it doesn't really match the theme but as a game I really like it!

ngl the timers stressed me out so I couldn't play it well. The idea is good, and the the art and audio are great.

I would like to thank the developers for making my dream of winning a lottery while broke come true, even it it was in a game. I won the lottery on the first try! It was genuinely a nice experience for somebody who's never won anything that involves luck :')

Uh, that said, the art is BEAUTIFUL. I absolutely love the art style! I really enjoyed this game, though I do wish there were more npcs and dialogues, and a feature to like recall what a specific npc had said.

I LOVED THIS! It was so innovative! The art, animation, voice acting, audio, all the aspects were so good! But more than that, it felt so relatable QWQ I gotta say, the animations and the voice acting were my favorite part even tho the gameplay itself was also fun. Everything tied together so well!

I was a bit torn about whether I should add that "Not even yourself" in the description but I ended up adding it. I love mystery and story based games!

I am really glad that the story can get you attached to the characters even when they are no longer there. Thank you for your feedback!
