I didn't finish this demo, but the ambience it's really tense and immersive, loved the details con the art, the pictures on the houses and the village, maybe some less assets could be better the map for me it's a little heavy on details when it should be more minimalistic at least on the outsides, not on the houses
I tested some races, didn't get the hang of the drifting mechanic I think it might be too much influenced by the direction, but overall the improvement you propose seems cool.
I think that if you continue on the mario kart/ party race games lines you are creating something cool, but keep in mind that you must find your difference from all the other racing/party games like this

in the movement thing, I'm working on making a clear position for the movement positions, and it's intended for you not to move I can explain the narrative behind it's just that the ship uses particles and you can only move into condensed particle places, so your ship can just warp around those points on screen(It's also because I take inspiration from asteroids and wanted to keep the no free movement mechanic).
Also working on balancing things out so did you die due to an asteroid? too many asteroids? too many enemies?
Sound is coming, I'm making contact with some musician to take part on that.

I do not want to sound as a hater, I want this review to be read as a constructive review, this game for me was boring because, the timer is too long I reached level 12 and the last ability is on level 9, which I didn't use, I only use my abilites 5 times, the enemies movement is too slow that I can go around avoid them and then kill them, without any challenge, and I had to be on a constant click, that would be awesome if the shooting was automatic and constant, maybe adding a dash to hte player, enemies a little bit faster and less time so that level 9 skill is hard to reach on a normal play, that would add a sort of goal to the player and having like 3 or 4 minutes would be just enough, I reached level 9 in the first 2 minutes of playing.
One detail I noticed, and as an artist I would reccomend to change is the color, everything uses the same colors and it's so dark it's difficult to read the intro and it's difficult to differ graphics, monochromatic is good but you can change a little bit more tones to show the different things on screen.
