is there a way to transfer game data to newer version? Is it automatic? Or do I just have to restart? 

To get the updated  versions I would need to download them meaning my saves in the newer version is gone, right?

I just realized I may have an older version, the bug may already be fixed.

in the quest log, the quests are slowly sliding left, I am not 100% sure when, but it probably moves once every ingame day, I think it may be related to going to sleep, but I am not sure.
