Fun shooting and taping experience. You could've just started the game with press E to tape and use mouse to aim and shoot, but you went ahead and you added a little story.. that was really a nice touch! It really makes me as the player engaged and curious about what will happen in the next levels. Good job!
A very fun and addicting little experience! I really liked the shatter effect when hitting obstacles, it added a lot of impact, it also took a bit of trial and error to get the hang of things, but once I did I was quickly advancing through the levels, though I couldn't finish the last level :' .Overall, I had a great time playing this!
Thank you for giving my game another chance 😊 as for the basket getting full I think I will add it after the jam is over, I think that would indeed help the player or have a UI with the apple count. As for the sounds in general, I worked on them last minute before the submission deadline so I admit that they need more work but I guess that's part of the jam experience haha!
Thanks a lot for playing and for the kind words! I'm really glad you liked the art and story :D
Sorry for the confusion about the apples part. You’ll need to pick up the basket first, then interact with the three apple trees in the garden. Once you've collected all the apples, go up to the granny from the front of her wheelchair and press interact. that should trigger the dialogue and open the gate.
Sorry again for the confusion I didn't have time to make the guidance more clear :'
Hey! Thanks so much for taking the time to try my game 💛
As for the apples, you need to take the basket and collect them from the three trees and then interact with the granny from the front of the wheelchair. A short dialogue will trigger and after that the gate will open.
Sorry for the confusion, I definitely should’ve made that clearer. If only I had a bit more time!
I love how the story builds up. I opened the game with no idea about the concept or the story, yet I gradually got pulled in. Great take on the jam theme. I'd say the only little problem I had with the game was the movement, because sometimes I'd press the movement keys but the player doesn't move. Other than that I love the narrative!
There's something beautifully eerie about this, the background music, the colors, the minimal interactions they all fit together to create that feeling of being left behind. I love the atmosphere. . It did take me a little while to fully getthe concept, so if you’re planning to expand on the game, I’d suggest focusing a bit more on clarity and guidance for the player :P
Thank you so much! I'm glad you appreciated the little details. And your feedback is totally fair and I get how it can feel disorienting especially the garden wheelchair section was hard to get right with that camera setup. so I appreciate you pointing it out., and thanks for taking the time to play and share your thoughts ☺️
This is a very cool concept I loved the level design and especially that little kitten waiting to be thrown lol It definitely gave the game a lot of charm. I’d honestly consider this an addictive rage game because every time I fell, I couldn’t help but hit that R again. It’s frustrating in the most satisfying way.
Great Job!
I never thought I'd enjoy playing as a rat doing groceries, but I'm down for it haha! This game is incredibly wholesome and addictive. Just a heads-up, the scoreboard didn’t seem to work for me.. not sure if it’s just on my end or a wider issue. Either way, it didn’t take away from the fun. Really well done!
Thank you!! I'm really glad you enjoyed the visuals and the story, that means a lot to me ☺️ You're absolutely right about the pacing, especially in the garden section. I actually considered adding a sprint option, but it didn’t quite fit the experience I had in mind. And as for the music I really wanted to include it! If only I had a bit more time… (check the submission time and you’ll see what I mean haha).
Thanks a lot for the feedback! I'm glad that you liked the art and the game concept. And you're totally right about the pacing, it feels a bit slow and that's because I aimed for something calm and reflective rather than fast paced. But I definitely see that it can become a bit tiring after a while.
