Really fun game! Only issue I have is that shielding draws out combat far too long, and it feels like nothing happens. I honestly don't know what could be done about this, as the dodge mechanic feels integral to the game, but is the reason why combat gets drawn out. Maybe lower the doge chance, or have be a chance for reduced or half damage? I am really interested in the development of this game! The art and music is amazing.

Interesting concept, good art and sound design, and was actually really entertaining. Unfortunately, there is no reason to ever move your mouse, so it ends up being really easy. Three suggestions if you make more around this idea:
1. Make it so that the line between the player and their eye also triggers monsters
2. Add something you need to look at to open the door (not really sure what though)
3. Probably a bit complicated but mirrors and one way windows could be interesting
Regardless, you did a great job and I had a good time.
Lovely game, fantastic art style.
Unfortunately theres a lot of visual bugs.
- Frankenstein turns invisible every few frames
- Pepper Priest is always invisible, and says it costs 4 but it seems to cost 5
- The bridge in the screen shots is invisible
- Hand that rolls dice is invisible
Also troops get stuck on other troops, buildings, trees, and sometimes air (probably the river?) causing them to rapidly turn back and forth.
I hope this helps with fixing stuff, I'd love to see the development of this game!
