It’s time to claim your prizes!

Rats of Pripyat game and Capturing Lazarus game developers please send a message to
• krolikan12@gmail.com or
• @alataran on Discord

We’ve been trying to reach you out at the emails you used for game submission but still didn’t hear back. There’s a certain deadline to claim the prizes from the sponsors.

Looking forward to getting back with you!

Hello. I've emailed you. Please reply. :)

Game Jame is over!

And the winner is “Rats of Pripyat”! Congratulations!

We will be in touch soon to get you the details about your prize.

It’s best if you rate each participant’s game using all five criteria in the “Rate Game” tab. Comments are always welcome.

Open the “Rate Game” tab for a game, go to the game’s page, play it, then return to “Rate Game” and enter your ratings. Repeat this process for every game.

Teams vote as a single developer. Team members decide together what scores to give, and the person who submitted the game enters those scores for all the other entries.

Solo participants vote normally — they rate each game using all five criteria.

We’ll turn off the “Lock new uploads” option so you can re-upload your projects if they have a critical issue. You’re not allowed to add any new content — no new levels, characters, graphics, text, or anything else.

This is only for fixing major bugs.

(1 edit)

The game must be free-to-play at the time of the game jam.
Afterwards, you can sell it (after December 8th).

The third theme has been slightly adjusted to: Secure, Contain, Protect

Anomaly Zone Game Jam 2025 - START!

Go! Go! Go!

(1 edit)

Additional themes:

1. Important cargo
2. He was here
3. Secure, Contain, Protect

At least one of the three must be used in your game. Along with the main theme - an anomaly zone.

Also, don't forget: the game must be in the post-apocalyptic genre. Additional genres are allowed: horror, steampunk, fantasy, etc. But the main genre is post-apocalyptic.

Prizes and voting- now separate topics.

New topic: Our Discord (organizers)

Our Discord (organizers):

- About game jam (and other channels on jam)
- Organizer: alataran

Prizes:

5 annual subscriptions in the online store CraftPix.net for the first-place team. 1 subscription for 1 participant.

If there are less than 5 participants in the First-place team, the remaining subscriptions will move to the next place - the Second place. Etc.

If there are fewer subscriptions than there are members in the team, then the team decides for itself who to give the subscription to.

To receive the prize, you need to register a team (solo developers do not need to register) - here.

Voting:

November 30 – December 7, 21:00 (UTC+3)

Participants vote on each other’s projects.
The winners and rankings will be based on these votes.

One vote from the team.

The scores are set by the person from whose account the game was sent.

We recommend that you consult with the team and decide what ratings you give to the games of other participants.

One vote from the team will help to avoid unfair play, when members of any team may intentionally give low marks to other games. This will negatively affect the overall assessment.

Update toipic GAME REQUIREMENTS: We have a sponsor and a prize. And the rule "One vote from the team".

New topic Team registration.

Аbout prizes - here.

The prize will be awarded only to registered teams.

To register a team, list all its members (name), their role (programmer, artist, etc.), and their Discord. And also the name of the team.
Maximum team members: 5.

The team must be registered before sending the game to the game jam.

Solo developers do not need to register.

One account is enough. :)

And... We moved the dates forward a bit: November 10–17

I apologize. I was extremely busy.

November 10–17

The rules have changed. https://itch.io/jam/anomaly-zone-game-jam/topic/5486105/game-requirements

You can suggest additional jam themes. From the list of submitted themes of random will select three. You’ll need to pick one of those and use it in your game.

A theme must meet the following conditions:

🍀 Helps spark interesting ideas,

🍀 Allows for multiple interpretations,

🍀 Works for games across different genres,

🍀 Is not a game genre, mechanic, or art style,

🍀 Can be a single word, a phrase, or a short sentence.

DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 9

GAME REQUIREMENTS

✅ Main genre: post-apocalypse. Other genres are allowed as complementary: fantasy, sci-fi, steampunk, cyberpunk, etc.

✅ Mandatory element: an anomaly zone (the game must be based on it).

✅ Mandatory additional theme: three extra themes will be announced on the contest start date, November 10nd. You’ll need to choose one and use it in your game.

✅ The contest is dedicated to the Strugatskies’ novel Roadside Picnic, but it doesn’t mean that you have to use its plot, or to base your game on the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. You can create a completely unique world, as long as you follow the main contest requirements and rules.

✅ The game must be developed entirely within the contest period (November 10–17, 2025).

✅ Allowed: AI-generated content, content generators, derivative works, third-party content (ready-made assets). Not allowed: your own pre-existing content.

✅ The game must not:

* Contain erotic (18+) content or promote banned substances,

* Incite hatred or hostility for any reason,

* Insult the honor or dignity of others.

✅ Any game that doesn’t meet the requirements will be disqualified.
