I rarely read emotional stories because I get emotional too easily. And man, this one strikes hard... As a fresh college graduate who also only has an old grandmother at home, the worries Lark expresses feel so real... Finished Lark's route in 3 hours and man, I couldn't get the ending out of my head. Cried like a baby for a whole hour the night I finished the game. This is what people call a good story, the characters feel real, and the story feels real.
The art is top-notch as well. Can't wait for more content to come out.
Ragnen had already summarized my feelings while I was immersed in the story, and done so far more comprehensively than I ever could. But I still want to leave my appreciation for the game and the author's heartfelt work here. To those who only happened across it now, you should really give this game a try. : )
