Not sure which one you're referring to. If it's one of the random NPCs, their names are randomized so I can't really tell you, it's unique to your game.
Cierna has a few choices along her story that give more Friendship points than others so it is easy to miss yeah.
However, this is the first character you can raise her Friendship after her story ends. To continue raising her Friendship until Soulmate you must fill up Orbs of Death with her, it can take some time but every Orb of Death filled up will raise her Friendship a bit.
To fill up an Orb of Death you must have sex with her and finish with her bar to the max (repeat until the Orb is filled up)
To unlock that scene you need to have Neruko on Lover level at that point, so yeah there's a chance you may not have gathered enough Friendship points in her previous events.
There's one choice during that event that can get you +10 Friendship points that could get you to Lover, but yeah if you failed to get enough points in the past events then there's a chance you may not reach Lover by then.
It should trigger during the day. If it hasn't, there's a chance your game is caching something from the previous version, I would suggest clearing out your browser's cache and trying again.

We're still planning Chapter 2, but in order to get there, we need to add/improve several systems in the game, so that is our focus for now, starting with improving the random NPCs content, dating system and other things.
Yeah besides the main story, you have the side stories for Arane, Akira, Mooni, Ebiko, and the first part of Cierna's story, if you haven't done those already.
Select the character you want to leave the party and pick the Ask option, you should have an option to part ways.
There might be a chance if a character joined your party during their story (like Ebiko) that you won't be able to take them out of your party until you complete the quest that requires them in your party.
Hey there, since Arane had already asked you to come to her house for dinner, you just need to be outside her house around 6PM, you should see the prompt on the top of the screen to start the event.
To get past the Friend level you have to succeed in the date with a gift and a kiss.
Make sure you pick the right choices during the date as that also raises the chances.
Another suggestion is to use the Peppermint Candy item that's currently part of the Christmas event before going into the date as that will provide a bonus during dates.

So it's not the right choices in terms of what raises Akira's friendship level.
It's the right choices that better improve the relationship between Arane and Akira, there's no visual indicator other than reading each option carefully and picking the one you think it improves their relationship.

You have to pick the right options throughout her story. Unfortunately once you finish her story you are locked to the level you ended up with her, so you would have to start her story over if you have a saved game before you start her story.
We have pending in our list adding dating with main characters after their stories so that you can raise their level post-story.
