Hi everyone! I am developing Galactic Dominion, a single-player space-strategy game, and would appreciate feedback on how understandable the opening is.
Play the free browser alpha: https://hollow-bit.itch.io/galactic-dominion
You develop colonies, unlock buildings and ships through research, and plan fleet movements with limited fuel. Planets differ in resources and building space. Battles are simulated automatically and shown in 3D; there is no direct tactical control.
If you have 15–20 minutes, please try the opening and tell me:
1. Is it clear what to do first? Where did you need guidance or get stuck?
2. Can you work out how to send a colony ship to another world and establish a second colony? Which step needs a clearer explanation?
3. Are research prerequisites and unlocks understandable? Did your first research choice feel meaningful?
If you play longer, I would also welcome impressions of credit income, fuel constraints and mixed-fleet balance. Please mention roughly how far you got, so I can put the feedback in context.
The tutorial is optional and separate from the campaign. Open Campaign in the bottom bar for step-by-step objectives, or enable the tutorial if you want guidance. English and German are available; desktop with mouse and keyboard is recommended.
This is an alpha, so content, balance and performance are still being refined. For bugs, your browser and steps to reproduce would help. Even a short explanation of one confusing moment is useful. Thanks for trying it!
