I really enjoyed this! Emmy was definitely a much more endearing jester than Malcolm / Kyrandia. It also inexplicably reminded me of the strange edutainment safari games from the early 90s. I’d love to see more!

And THANK YOU for hosting the jam!

Made it 7 laps, 434.6sec! The music was a perfect balance to the white knuckle cornering. I’m not sure why, but it made me think of Moonshine Racers. [Edit: I think it’s the similar distortion on the hills!]

Once you get the shifting/cornering down, it’s not too difficult, but I can’t say that’s a bad thing. With the music and palette. I’d play it just to drive and listen to what’s in the tape deck.

Oh man, it has been awesome hearing what games this reminded people of. Thank you for checking it out!

I have some diabolical things in store for the next levels…

Thank you so much for playing and the kind words! That’s exactly the feeling I was hoping for!!

Ha! Like the mummy, I’m sure they just want to be friends. I’d never heard of L’Aigle D’Or Le Retour! I definitely see it, like they could be in the same universe.

Thank you for playing! Aiming for that “short but tough” sweet spot. Did you find the secret snack?

This jam was so much fun.

We need more of exactly this in the world. Dithered 90s raytraced adventures are almost lost to time.

Played to the end with Dosbox-staging. Dosbox-X hard locked on the first dialogue, but that was also the first version you uploaded. (I said I couldn’t wait and i didn’t)

Beautiful style. FROG!!! was perfect. We had a cozy moment.

Gorgeous alternate CGA palette use! And congrats on the CGALIB2 release!

Share a candid of your game, your IDE, your retro rig, or your fanciful EGA render of your dog!

Here’s my WIP, at slow progress due to Life Nonsense. EGA / Adlib music / PC speaker sound, inspired by Exidy’s Venture.

This is brilliant. I was craving 90s Myst clones this morning, and to get this demo actually made with Hypercard and Stratavision was an absolute treat. If there was ever more just to walk around in, I’d love to see it. (And thank you for including a Linux binary!)

I was having a hard time with my default 64bit wineprefix, but switching to the Lutris runtime as written did the trick! Thank you! So glad your post survived a certain villainous takedown.

My wife called up the stairs, “Is that a modem? Don’t forget *70, we have call waiting!”

10/10

This came out great, well done! I'm still amused as hell you humored me in the roster as an internet rando. He's better than me, btw. How awkward.

Really enjoyed this. The blue/orange palette gave the right feel, with excellent sound and quick to learn mechanics. Well done, thank you for a nice evening distraction :-)
