I'm enjoying the story a lot, the writing and all of the characters are really fun!
However, when it comes to the steamy scenes, the game really loves to tease and then not deliver. I'm on Day 28 right now, and so far I've only had 3 steamy scenes (bj with Adam, jerkoff with Blake, and sex with Dante). All of the other times it's just endless teasing or getting interrupted by someone. At a certain point it just gets frustrating. That's my biggest problem with this game.
Just wanted to say I'm super impressed with the game! The story, writing, characters and the NSFW scenes are so good!
Though I do wish there weren't so many LIs so we could get updates faster. I hope you didn't bite more than you can chew because I know creating different paths and options for everyone is only going to be a bigger and bigger challenge as the game goes on. Good luck, and I'll be looking forward to future updates!
I bought the game on Steam (so glad you put the NSFW version available there), and I just have to say it's so much fun! I started playing yesterday and could barely bring myself to close it and go to bed. All of the LIs seem cool in their own way, and I can definitely see myself replaying to do all of their routes (tho Gabriel is my favorite for now).
Omg I was scared for a moment when I saw 'cancellation' in the title! I'm sorry things didn't work out as you expected, but I'm glad the game is still getting released. There's nothing wrong in reducing the scope of the game, it's better than abandoning it. I'll definitely be purchasing it when it comes out! :)
Hello! First of all, I wanted to thank you for the amazing work you did on the It Lives project! I enjoyed it from start to finish, it all felt very professional and even better than many official Choices books.
Secondly, I wanted to ask if you had any copyright issues or had to ask Pixelberry for some kind of permission? I'm curious because I'm making my own version of another visual novel, so I want to be on the safe side. Thanks!
I've downloaded the new demo which says 1.02, started a new run and managed to save the game. But I'm still lost as to what to do next. I can't find anyone else or anything to do other than the two statues (on the island and in the cave).
Edit 2: Ok, I just saw from another commenter that you have to press Z next to the edge to move to the next screen. I feel like this should've been explained somewhere because it's not obvious at all. So I managed to find Mads after all.
Also, I think there should be an easier way to use items from your inventory instead of having press Esc, click on the coconut and then click on hold, then leaving the inventory and pressing Space everytime I need to drink. (Or maybe there is an easier way?)
Edit 3: The game crashed when I reached the area above the sparkling chest on the elevated grassy land and tried moving to the left.
I tried the demo and first of all I have to say I love the idea for the game and I can't wait for the full version!
I agree with another commenter that the thirst/hunger meters drain way too quickly, which limits us from exploring the island. I constantly had to keep eating coconuts or return to the campfire in the cave to sleep.
Also, there are no settings and the game doesn't show you controls (how to open the inventory, how to go back to the main menu, etc.). And like another person mentioned, after I slept and woke up, the UI was not visible and I couldn't see the hunger/thirst/sleep meters and controls. I didn't know how to fix this so I had to exit the game. When I entered again and tried to continue, my progress didn't save so I had to play all over again.
I'll try to play more later and hopefully encounter one of the other characters.
I saw the post on twitter the other day and I can't believe it got that much attention. I completely agree with everything you wrote here. And honestly, I don't think the sentence is offensive if you take into account the context and who the characters are.
Frankly, it seems that some people are just looking for a reason to be outraged and angry at someone, and they're so quick to assume the worst instead of giving someone the benefit of the doubt.
Please carry on with making your wonderful games!
