If you're having issues with the mod, try asking on the official Beat Banger Discord, it should work fine. I can’t help much since I only made the mod, not the game, so the devs or community there can probably assist you better.

In the Beat Banger menu, you’ll find a Discord icon that takes you directly to their server, you can get help there.

I have no control over the original game, I’m just making a mod, but I hope that one day the creators (BunFan), will release a mobile version with the possibility to play with my mod!

For now, it’s for the latest version (v49). If future updates cause any issues, I’ll release an update.

You need to download it, then unzip the folder into the location indicated in the tutorial. You might need WinRAR or another program to unzip it if the default Windows or Mac tool doesn’t work. Of course, you’ll also need the original game, as I mentioned.

You’ll need to give me more details about your problem.

I’m not sure if you managed to follow the tutorial I posted?

  • 1. Download the .zip file.

    2. Extract the folder inside the archive to:

    [WINDOWS] C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\Roaming\Godot\app_userdata\Beat Banger\mods

    [MAC] ~/Library/Application Support/Godot/app_userdata/Beat Banger/mods

    3. Open the game → go to the Mods menu → and play!

  • Please enable “Reduce Motion” in the settings, it's required. Some scrolling scenes look off with zoom. Final zoom will be added in editing.

You should check the roadmap, but to be clear: the game will be about 80% free. Chapter 1 is on my Patreon, and later, once I finish Chapter 2 on Patreon, I’ll release Chapter 1 for free on itch.io. Then, when Chapter 4 comes out on Patreon, Chapter 2 will also become free on itch.io.

I’m not sure yet if it will be available on Steam in the mods section, I haven’t checked, but I’ll try to add it to the in-game mod download section provided by the developers themselves and see if that’s possible once Chapter 1 is released (not the demo).

Almost everything will eventually be free, it will just take time. Supporting the project on Patreon lets fans access content earlier and helps me continue developing the mod, which gives the game a second life. Like many games, mods help them last longer, so I think it’s fair to make all content free eventually while giving supporters a chance to enjoy it early and support the creator financially.

You can either download the DEMO I just released, which is just a showcase of all the free animations I’ve shared, or get all the animations in Tier 2 on my Patreon. Tier 1 contains half of Tier 2, and Tier 1 will be released for free once Chapter 2 is fully completed.

Some things are still a bit unclear, but eventually almost everything will be free. A few parts might remain paid for quite a while, but I believe that one day nearly everything will be free. I’ll figure it out over time, depending on how things develop and how I organize my work.

Maybe you’re talking more about the game than my mod, because I can’t find my mod anywhere at the moment.
Maybe that’s for the best, it means I can trust my fans who support me on Patreon. But if it does show up somewhere, I’ll have to figure out how to get it removed from all the sites where it might appear.

Thank you for letting me know! I hope you’ll enjoy my mod!

I can't say for sure yet, maybe when the mod is fully finished, but for now, it will stay on Patreon.

I have a lot of ideas that could take months or even years, with different chapters. I've already planned parts of chapters 2 and 3, including new characters, but I'll also add more scenes for the original characters like Cathy, Gale, and Dawna.

It depends on fan support, if it helps cover rent and food, I can keep working on the mod!

I started this mod on January 18, 2024, worked on the storyboard for three days, then paused to finish other tasks. I resumed on February 25

So far, I’ve spent about 30 days on it, with some time also going to commissions. Once those are done, I can focus on the mod daily and hopefully finish the chapter 1 in 2-3 months
