Not required. Nether is required, dice or deck of cards. they are just allowed to be used and NOT on the postcard, and welcome to the Jam. =)

any card deck that is not specific to the game, like a custom deck, will be accepted. think, easily attainable card deck like you mentioned. Tarot deck will be accepted.   

I like both of those thoughts, I love texas hold'm and would like to see you explore that in the trenches of WW1.
