Thanks Chirpy, it was really lovely to watch you play it on stream. The feedback was great, especially around pixel art since this was my first time using Aseprite.

An incremental game about cutting down a giant tree, or maybe it's a study of man vs his own nature?

Hey, thanks for playing my game! I appreciate the feedback. While the jam was 2 weeks long, I only had about 20 hours of time I could devote to working on the game so I had to keep the concept super tight. I mostly entered it as a test of what I had learned and could do without outside help/ tutorials in that time.
There's a tonne of depth I would have loved to add if I had more time; more skills, interactions (I had a concept for interactive animals and playing through the encounters that the narrative describes), locations, complexity (balancing the regeneration of the tree for example), things that would have allowed me to explore the concept of man vs his own nature. But I really had to dial that back to fit into 20 hours.
