For the majority of this project I used Spitfire Audio’s BBC Symphony Orchestra Essentials, which I picked up as a freebie during a special promotion a while back 😅 But that patch doesn’t seem to have pitch bend functionality… so I ended up just using a stock Ableton instrument called ‘Tension’ which allowed me to program pitch bends in the ‘envelopes’ section of the midi editor.

I’m so glad you think the piece captures the sense of adventure I was aiming for. That’s very encouraging to hear.

Thank you also for your advice regarding playability. Writing for orchestra is fairly new to me and as I’m primarily a guitarist the importance of breathing admittedly passed me by here 😂 I will definitely bear this in mind in future!
