I've definitely got more before and I think some other people have as well. Most of it is knowing the optimum strategy, and having insane luck in getting exactly the cards you need at exactly the right time and having your advisors be available at the right time etc.

Can I suggest that maybe you think about doing a game about the Second Spanish Republic? Either the events leading up to it, the events of it, and Civil War that ended it (or not?).
