does updating the game removes the saves from the previous versions?

I need help I don't know why But I seem to be having trouble on cassidy's storyline.its the midnight meeting whenever cassidy calls it always happens on sunday which is a bit of a problem because the office is closed on sundays and I can't seem to find a way to install the spycamera since the installation of the spycamera is critical to getting the best ending(I also read the walkthrough)
