Thanks a lot for spending some time looking into this.
As you have imagined, I didn't have time the past months to update the SDK and recompile the app. 
I'll update the binary on itch.io and review your pull request on git.

:( Thanks for reporting it. I plan to spend a bit of time doing bug fixing and maybe adding a couple of new features in the next weeks, so hopefully all these crashes will be fixed soon.
