*sigh* It's a little complicated. I do very much wish to work on this however life has thrown a lot of monkey wrenches at me since then. It's 'On Hiatus' until some life things get sorted out and then at that point I will need to find a programmer to help make it happen. I've a lot of ideas and concepts for the game but currently lack the time/ability to make it happen currently.

In short, don't wait up for an update but know that I do hope to get back to it.

I do to. My favorite is her idle animations. They were fun to make.

That ones on me. Since the player needed to 'move' and 'dodge', I went with the direction of 'big but still able to play without blocking the screen' (... and still fit through the doors)

Big sizes are a tough thing to design for games. But yes, having more sizes is definitely fun!

I really enjoyed this game. I love games about interacting with the adventures of other characters and there is really a comfy charm with this one.

A couple quality of life suggestions from me though. I'd suggest making the right click help menus always be on top of everything else. It was a bit annoying to have to close the text scroll, or how the 'scry master' was put in front of it. Another might be to allow a 'skip walking animation' toggle or maybe simply speed it up. The walk up/away is alright, but its a little annoying having to wait at times.

Like I said, those are just QoL things. You got somethin here and I look forward to it.

I can personally vouch that the judges evaluate even incomplete games. I released one on a previous jam (I didn't have this account at the time)and tried the solo dev route. The 'game' I submitted only had walking, a sprite change, and a single npc pathing route completed by the deadline. They still fully judged what was available of it and gave their thoughts on it.

As for your previous point about people submitting without thought of rewards, I am one of them. I've been following and attempting to take part for a while now and have faith in how it is handled based off personal experience.

Discord works best for me as I manage a few servers on it and have it always active. My username is heftytotem (discord number id thingy is #0000). I share the same username (hefty totem) on any other website you wanna find me at if would work better for you.

I'd love to hear your idea! Out of the main game engines, Godot is the one I'm most familiar with so that works out too.

Hello, I am known as Hefty Totem and I am a 2D artist looking to join a team with a programmer, (game engine can be whatever). I specialize in illustrations and some spritework and can adapt a fair amount to what's needed.

I would prefer working on a 'wholesome' theme for a game and stay away from drawing a fetishized human birth scene (i.e a focus on crowning, but having something be born at all is ok) but am willing to work towards a compromise if needed.

I don't currently have any ideas at present but really just want to be a part of the Jam and help make something fun! Feel free to reply here or in my DMs if you wanna talk further.

I look forward to seeing what comes from this Jam!

Teams are allowed for the Jam and I figured I could make an area to help folks find each other, myself included. There's no real format to posting anything here but some guidelines wouldn't go amiss so here goes. Don't need to follow these but they'll probably help you out.

1. State what you are and what you're looking for.

2. State your preferences or blacklists for things you are looking for or do not want to do

3. If you have an idea you already have in mind, explaining it would definitely help narrow things down.

4. Feel free to add other things that I don't cover here. These are just some rough guidelines afterall.

I'll use myself as an example in a reply.

Interesting little project of a game with some cute mechanics. Well done for a twine game of this scope and scale. Though I would like to ask if you perchance happen to have a discord server one could join for this project or games with similar proclivities and fascinations. I would be most interested in joining such a community should such a proposition be agreeable.

This issue has been fixed. That is unfortunately a bit of jank with the current build. If you keep launching eventually some enemies show up though relaunching the game is more effective. Its a known bug. I'm glad you enjoy the concept though, Thank You!

We have been taking some rather extensive notes on the upgrade systems, trust me. That's part of the reason the menus aren't in the game, they need more care before they are really ready, but they are most definitely in the works.
I personally hate ads and don't wish to put them in the game. The planned income aspect is through flat sales, donations, and cameo appearances/playable characters from supporter commissions.
