haven't made use of it myself so i don't know the details but i believe some folks have used scritch to neatly upload/display/submit songs to the jam! seems pretty simple but i'm sure other people can help you out with more detail if need be! 

if using pre-existing assets you've made is ultimately going to help you make something new then go ahead! ultimately the point of this jam is just to encourage people to get creating so there's no strict rule against doing it this way

thank you! i love making platformer movement stuff but i'd never really made something "puzzle-y" before and this theme felt like a good excuse to give it a go!

and to answer your question, this was done in gamemaker studio! i really should to get familiar with the current release, but didn't think it was worth spending the time to get my head around its differences and new ui and so on during the jam period
