This is was a fun and simple yet expressive read. The art is also really good and expressive. It's honestly a bit refreshing having a story that only has 1 choice, good or "bad" ending. To which, both endings felt rewarding and both had their own weight in intensity. I really enjoyed Vergil's passion and intensity, even when he's unhinging into a panicked, downward spiral--He came committed and he is happy to overdo it and I love that haha. I would love to be with/experience more with him.

****Somewhat spoilers below****

I think I preferred the good ending, because personally it felt more right for the MC considering they are lowkey into it (and I just love being sweet with unhinged obsessive man and being the reason he's crazy yet calm hehe). BUT I think the "bad" ending was the better read, especially when we chased after him and noticed the sapling, and we had this surge of regret and doubt of our choice, it made the character feel more real. Plus I think with the way it ended at the motel, it could have such a good continuation! Would love to see how that route plays out and different outcomes from that.

Could we make amends with him and try to accept him for who he is and be with him to satiate his burning desire? Could we truly save him from himself and get him the help he needs? Maybe we run away and try to start over with someone else? Obviously he isn't gonna leave us alone and will keep being destructive so could we take matters in our hands lure him out and fight fire with fire? A lot you could with this :)

Whether this is a standalone/oneshot type game or it gets expanded upon, I look forward to your future work

Please don't apologize. You are trading in an aspect of accessibility for the art of storytelling, and I truly respect you for it. I am queer and a writer as well, so I understand the trade-off and its impact. Thank you for giving a straight answer and thank you for being sweet <3 much love! Looking forward to more!

Hi, hello :)! Firstly, love the intensity and how it's complemented by the art style and choices ACTUALLY take you down a different route!!

Secondly, idk if this is something you've already addressed, so sorry if it is. But I am curious if pronoun options are gonna be available in the future? If you, as the creator, don't want to for whatever reason, I respect that--I'm just curious :).

Thank you for your hard work <3!

I am such a simp for yandere/medieval themes, so to see these themes together, I'm gushing.

I see throughout the comments that the art is a...touchy subject, but something I like about the art is that the backgrounds and Anselm's armor in particular, have this oil painting and brush texture. I really like that, and I feel like it is unique in that regard. I hope there is more of that as this visual novel game gets more development!

This is a wild take. Unless I am mistaken No mercy glorified rape and incest. The core gameplay was to "discipline" your female relative and actively force her into sexual interactions. It was a rape/incest simulator. WhatIWouldn'tDo is dark horror literature at best and it warns readers of the extreme dark themes that occur. Can this be fetishized?  Of course, a lot of things are and will be fetishized by some readers, but you cannot compare the two because this creator isn't exploiting sex and basically glorifying rape for the hell of it like No Mercy did.

This might be torture porn for some, or a way for some SA victims to cope, I won't deny that, but at least this creator isn't trying to make a profit for it like the incestual rape fantasy No Mercy was trying to sell.

I noticed that and am wondering as well!!! I've been hunting and replaying a bunch of times, even choosing some choices that Adi doesn't favor, like choices that seem to trigger him, causing a more subtle, negative leaning or bland response from him. I've tried various combinations and kept notes on it, but things mostly seem to be slight dialogue changes, no major butterfly effects in choices, ultimately ending with petting the cat.

Either I am missing something, or maybe this will be one of those meta-type of games where you have to go through the game files and potentially alter things, but I don't know if I am smart enough to figure that out. OR maybe the dev was simply just giving a sneak peek of what's to come. I'm not sure. I feel gaslit and crazy lmao. Hopefully, the dev comments or someone comments a solution.

UPDATE: Read the game page again, the development log says the demo does not include any mature themes. "Mature content IN THE FULL GAME (Demo does not include any)." So I think the room/lock picking photos are a sneak peek of the dark themes to come!!

 I excite :3
