Yes, there is a VN that predates BtHr, however, it is already inside of the game! When you download BtHr, after finishing chapter three you unlock the original BEYOND THE HARBOR vn to play right inside of your copy of BtHr! It's strongly suggested you play it at that point, between BtHr chapter three and BtHr chapter four.
