I like the idea of it being a brawl in an alleyway! I think the attacks could use a slight touch up, maybe an effect that makes them feel more impactful?

I like the graphing paper artstyle a lot! The mechanics were also unique and fun once I fully understood how to use them. Another comment said this as well, but I think a full coop system would be a fantastic addition.

Short and simple, but it was enjoyable! I think this could be easily expanded upon with more levels and environment mechanics. Maybe something like driving a toy car on a toy track, or even adding some stealth mechanics that require you to use toys to distract Santa?

I was curious as to why the cat was so slow in one of the levels, and then they died. >:(

I think the levels afterwards were pretty well made though!

I liked the music and voice acting a lot! The paces system was also a little interesting, though I wasn't able to do anything after digging up the treasure lol. Good job, I had fun!

I really like the artstyle of this game! I think that the attack hitbox could benefit from an increase. I also unfortunately could not figure out how to use EP, but perhaps I just didn't try enough buttons lol.

I like this! I think with a few tweaks it could become a good starting point for a full game!

  • Enemy hitboxes felt a little large, which made avoiding damage a bit difficult at times paired with the limited visibility. (The visibility is not an issue to be clear!)
  • It felt a bit rough moving up or down because of the way the camera follows the player. Perhaps adjusting it to follow the player a bit more strictly up or down would help a little?
  • This one is more of a suggestion, but I know survival games tend to have system that make enemies more likely to drop certain items based on what you need most. If you have lower health, enemies are more likely to drop health packs, and ammo packs for lower ammo. This doesn't mean shower the player in these drops of course lol.

Good job :D

I'll have to fix that as soon as the game jam is over haha, thanks!

Kept running into problems with my build on WebGL, and unfortunately couldn't submit on time. If I can still get mine submitted, that'd be great!

Admittedly, progression isn't as clear as I could've made it lol. Whenever an enemy dies, they spawn white particles that fly towards the Song Orb in the center of the map. As you defeat more enemies, the sixteenth note in the orb will turn into a quarter note, then half note, and finally to a whole note upon level completion. Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed it!
