Just finished the visual novel and can honestly say, its amazing. Its the first game of this kind where I loved the combat system, it provided a challenge. And the writing actually makes you care for the characters and want to know more about how the wider world works. honestly I would have played this even if it didn't have the weight gain system (tho im far from complaining).
