Unfortunately I didn't download v0.5.2, and it is no longer available to download.  I will try out your other suggestions.

Hi.  No, I've not made any changes to my PC.  My anti-virus is McAfee, and I already know that I have to disable its real time scanning whilst unzipping the files else McAfee identifies some files as a virus.  I have made sure that the files for this version have been unzipped properly.

I realise that I am using quite an old pc, and running Windows 7, and this is quite possibly the reason that I am having problems running this version of the game.  But it still remains that I can run v0.5.1 fine on my pc, and versions v0.4 and v0.4.2 before it.   

Unfortunately this hasn't fixed the problem.  I still get the same error message on start up.

Hi,  I'm having problems with the v0.6 update of Euclyca.  On start up, I get an error screen with the message 'Failed to initialise graphics'.  I have tried to download both the normal and WO Battle Trans versions and get the same result.  I have not had this problem with any of the other versions I have downloaded.  I was using v0.5.1 prior to this and this version still runs fine.

Finally got it to work.  I tried everything you suggested - I reinstalled with my antivirus turned off (Mcafee), I ran it as an administrator - and was getting nowhere.  But once I set it to render as software, the game worked.  Thank you very much for your help and patience.  I am looking forward to playing the game - I used to love playing Fire Emblem in the past.

Just one further question, once you are back at base, and saved the game, how do I quit back to desktop?

Hi.  I have done as you asked - uninstalled VLC and Falnarion Tactics, and then reinstalled Falnarion Tactics.  Although the Data.dts file remains unchanged, I still have the same problem.  I am using an old PC, running Windows 7.  Could this be the problem?  I have included a screen shot of my system.

Hi.  It looks almost the same.  Where you have data.dts file, mine is listed as a dts audio file (vlc).  Also I have a separate error log which appeared after the game failed to work.  There doesn't seem to be a function to attach a file to this message or I would send it to you.

Hi I have just bought this game.  However I cannot run it.  When I try to run it, I get an error message saying that the SRPG game engine has stopped working.
