A game created as a capstone project left me somewhat disappointed with the execution of the game. There were clearly people who were passionate about the project: the animations were artfully goofy, the story art was cute, and the soundtrack is still stuck in my head. However, the movement mechanics make what should be a fun and easy game into a Souls-like. Why is there so long between when I hit the jump button and when my character jumps? The cookie section is grueling when the cookie sinks before the character finishes the wind up animation of the jump. In spite of the unpolished movement, the pole vaulting mechanic was actually a ton of fun to use. Would love to see a polished version
