oh this is fantastic i maybe stumbled across it but i can really use this site, thanks for the heads up! i just signed up

Yeah I am finding out as a visual-focused developer that audio is a lot more important than I realized.  I'll have to budget more time for audio in my next jam probably.

You can stack that with the reverse card :)

I sorta ran out of time but really enjoyed doing the mechanic and (literal) worldgen https://itch.io/jam/theveryseriousjuniperdevgamejam/rate/4693402

Really lovely graphics, the depth of the forest is really well presented, and for an ultimate rarity, has real voice acting(!) wow. Multiple stages, didn't make it to the end though, only got to the fields/mountains.

It's not a browser game, but i have win/linux binaries! worth a shot https://itch.io/jam/theveryseriousjuniperdevgamejam/rate/4693402

Took me a minute to understand the gameplay but got a true LOL at the end, great job

Pretty cool concept, sorta reminds me of the emerald pinball stage from OG sonic games. I found the exit but accidentally pushed up and ,,,verified the spining portion works well :D

Love the graphics

Hi guys the official thing locked my uploads for the page but you can download the (working!!) windows version here https://hadlocks-bucket.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/Pizziggurat.exe sorry about that

ok added a binary for windows that boots in less than an hour ( https://hadlocks-bucket.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/Pizziggurat.exe )

Let me do a new Windows build, sorry about that

files exist now

ok i uploaded it for win and linux!

ok i uploaded the file! oops sorry about that

Oh no, let me upload it

pretty sweet :thumbs-up:

red car is cool but also significantly harshing my buzz

Awww yiss early 2000s mustang and a Volvo 240? I'm so in

This is fantastic. I did a mechanical port to Rust specifically Macroquad engine here: https://github.com/Hadlock/pixelplanet everything but the blackhole and the star should be pixel perfect

That's freakin' amazing

With big ol' chompers like that, needs a CHOMP attack animation :)

I know he's a mage, but a melee attack would be helpful. Very cool. Looking at this after evaluating your blood demon as a boss for my thing

This would smash on consoles, don't sleep on this.

Downloaded the new demo! It's great!

The menu system is really well done as well! I love the crisp lines of it. I'm just about done with my 2d engine and taking heavy inspiration from what you've done here with your menu system; it's really good

This looks super rad. Vaguely reminds me of playing Bolo on the mac in the computer lab back in the 1990s. If you don't mind me asking what is the font/s used in the weapon select menu screen?

This is super cool, like everyone else they hit the limit pretty quick with Gameboy graphics and move up to gba/butano. this is the wrong place to ask this but would it be possible to get a demo of drawing a rotating sphere.obj and wrapping it in a globe (earth) texture? and then drawing city marker sprites (la, nyc, London, Tokyo) on top of the map. I've been playing around with this in rust in macroquad but struggling with doing this in butano since you seem to have the only really excellent 3d example, but i couldn't find any spheres in the source code.

super cool game by the way, doing 2d rendering of objects on tiny hardware like this at full frame rate is rather impressive.

Feel free to boot it up while playing your favorite chiptunes or lofi YouTube music

Credits to Rekkimaru && The Pixel Nook for the character sprites (also listed at the end of the game)
