I played a bit more today. I really loved the custcene between us and the new character. The animation when holding the rifle was a bit rough tho and I also lost the rifle when I entered the sewers. I wish there was a custscene skip button cause I keep getting softlocked and I cant go over all these custscenes again. In the sewers the zombies dont move at all no matter how close u get and some of them never attack even then. (once again im so sad that the zombies are so hot but all u can do with them is bruttaly mutilate them *sob). On top of zombies being completely harmless and easy to kill theres an infinite amount of healing items and ammo so we are basically gods so its not scary. Picking up things brings up a broken UI menu that I dont know the purpose of. Also the npc never followed me in the sewers.
But I really like where its going so far :)
Hey, just wanted to report a weird bug at the church gate. The cutscene glitched out—the NPC and my gun vanished, though I could still hear the audio. When it ended, I was stuck with no weapon, and the NPC actually started kicking me into the zombies!
I tried reloading my save from right before the gate, but now the interaction prompt to open it is gone entirely, so I'm soft-locked. Hilarious experience, but figured you'd want to know!
Also when I saw theres a special move with the penis monster I got excited but got dissapointed when I found out it was just a finisher kick. Hope u can make more spicy finishing moves in the future?
The game looks amazing and is a blast to play—the statue scene was especially well-done! However, I’ve hit a progress-blocking bug: the game freezes on the loading screen right after passing the church gate.
Beyond that, a few areas need tuning. The enemy AI routing is a bit weak; they often can't find their way to the player, which makes them feel harmless given their slow speed. I also noticed some physics jank where enemies occasionally fly into the air when shot.
There are some smaller glitches too: my character’s mouth is permanently wide open, the indoor camera often clips to the ground, and there's an invisible wall at the top of the church stairs. Lastly, doors are a bit buggy—dead enemies can block them entirely, and living ones clip through them. It’s a great start, though, and I’m looking forward to seeing it improved!
aww I love that the coments are a bit more positive. That said a new game from the ground up is an immense challenge and its totally understandable to have troubles for the devs. This game is after all so much harder to code than the lancelot game due to the free movements and real time combat. But I will be here waiting. Im still really busy this time of year so I dont have much time for games anyway :)
