That's a completely valid concern, so I’d like to clarify a bit. The story of TSYW is a rather lengthy and roundabout one. As much as it is about our main duo and their relationship, it’s also about the world of Vistella, its people, and their struggles.

The content warning list isn’t meant to suggest that every topic mentioned will happen, or has happened, directly to our protagonists. Instead, it’s there to acknowledge that these issues do exist within the world and affect the characters, so readers can be mentally prepared for when they appear.

My sincerest apologies for the disappointment! My college final semester left me no time to work on the project,  but I will try my best to make it up to you with Build 2. I hope  for your understanding.

1. We will see ;).

2. Darius's power is effectively, complete and total invulnerability. No outside influences can affect his body, but his normal biological functions still work so he can still age, gain weight, grow fur, get tired, etc. How everything works will be explained later on.

3. Vistella is actually a bit stunted technology-wise due to an event that we will learn about in Build 2. 

Their tech is effectively split into 2 branches, mundane and magical. The mundane branch is currently at about the same level as our tech in the 20th century with things like widely available electricity, lights, early radios, and a very advanced printing industry (yet, no cameras and movies). They also have access to some fantastical inventions from their magical branch, like universal translators, teleportation circles, nuclear fusion reactors, artificial wombs and bio-prosthetics. These 2 branches aren't entirely separate, and often contribute to each other's growth. 

Quantum physics aren't something they have grasp on yet, but their study of the magic system has lead to a very similar field.

I would not want to live in a fantasy world without a bidet.

But anyway, answers.

1.  Coincidences happen sometimes. Don't think too hard about it. In-universe, it's named that way because Darius's ancestors discovered it and decided to name it after themselves. Out of universe... 😁.

2. I just kinda thought about how languages work and engineered an answer from there. Our brains being able to assign words to certain things is mundane to us but if you think about it a bit, it's very cool that we can even do that.

3. You'll find out in the future 😁.
