Thanks i didn't know i have to keep clicking on him cause i tried to catch it but i didn't

So im fairly new to the game only played for 8 hours but i got the medallion breaking scene and when i tapped on the npc near the shop in the hub he ran into the hole but it won't let me go in can anyone tell me if this is a softlock or if i can fix it all thanks in advance
