Well I commented to welcome you back on your recent post but also to show you something you might find interesting. I took some inspiration from your BSD mermaid generator to make my own web-app. Check it out: https://open.substack.com/pub/gramaryegames/p/introducing-the-dungeon-layout-generator?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android&r=3ax2b3

Thanks! I have a big list of ways to improve this already but definitely leave a comment to let me know any changes you'd like to see. My wife forbade me from making it PWYW so this prototype version will likely be replaced with a better paid version some time in Q1 2026. I'm thinking ~8-12 US dollars.
This is so tactile. I could see a really cool table game that uses a giant version of this between the players. Like different players stop the big spinner at different times. Maybe the spinner could point to another player and the value of the spinner dictates what happens to them or something. It would be a similar kind of fun as "Uno" or "Spoons."
Nice distillation of several dozen blog posts on the identity of OSR. Would have been a great primer for me back in the day. If the goal is to expose more people to the OSR, then I'd like to see more links in the back for further reading. The Alexandrian link is a great seminal post but things like Ben Milton's video on what is OSR and the Principia Apocrypha are great gateways to get people into the scene.
It's always cool to see how a person's unique experiences effect their games and designs. MOSAIC is also a really cool initiative, I love to see it represented. It's easy to overlook really small supplements like this but as a GM, things like MOSAIC supplements have a much higher chance of actually being useful at the table.
I would do the layout a lot differently but maybe the current way is easier for some people to read.
