thank you so much! i wish this month could last forever but ik that probably won't be the case and i gotta accept that, i have a couple questions tho
i know i just said i gotta accept it but i harbor much greed in my heart [sorry], any plans on making some premium features free for everyone in later updates
and any plans on letting the player gain or start with traits along their journey, pick to many and disable achievements? i feel quite bland compared to my party, i also want to make my character super duper tiny but accounting for character size when writing might be a lot
and finally any plans for the map to show the insides of caves? like a toggle to see the underground view of the world or will we remain guessing what caves we fully explored or not

this 1 month of free premium is great, i really wish i could make my own characters in the free version so i'm glad to experience it while it lasts

i'm not getting exp past level 10 is that the level cap?

will formamorph still get worked on?
cool game by the way!

the AI is no longer making any mistakes in text

sorry for not responding i forgot!

in that case i'll just copy and paste the dictionary entry and change it to fit the new entry

(1 edit)

for now i'll just say "the description of X applies to Y"
can i also do this for the dictionary? or should i copy and paste it and change up a few things to make it fit with the new entity

if i'm making two entities, lets say i make the first entity have a large description, and the second entity is basically a different version of the first entity, like a harpy and a harpy queen, should i copy and paste the description of the first entity onto the second? or can i do something like "the description of a harpy applies here as well"

should i put examples of what entities like to eat in the dictionary?

firefox, though i don't use the browser version and instead have it downloaded, idk if that matters

this new update is amazing, i no longer deal with memory issues now, thank you so much!

the new AI makes spelling mistakes sometimes??? like sometimes it forgets letters or even entire words.

(1 edit)

i noticed we have a new AI, i'm really happy about the extra memory but i also see some problems, the AI ignores the "generate 3-5 possible actions" quite often, making like 20 choices, and whenever i'm accompanied by allies in some world the AI gives the option to fight them for some reason? there's definitely a new issues but overall i feel like it's a much better experience
update: i also noticed that it's way too generous with stats, as after losing half of my stomach stat it immediately gives it all back out of nowhere [i looked away for a small moment and didn't even do anything to raise the stat]

(1 edit)

did you mean short as in that's the entire entity description? or short as in it's not worth putting in the dictionary, cause the actual entity description is 923 characters long, because i only showed the personality section as an example

would putting the personality of a creature/entity in the dictionary be good?
"Harpies are curious, friendly, playful, airheaded, and unintelligent"
would that go into entity description or dictionary description

thanks! i'm just wondering how much i need to put in my entity description and my dictionary description, if an entity has two stomachs do i mention that in the dictionary? do i mention their relationship to the world like how well they harmonize with nature or how high their affinity for magic is or their level of technology?
here's an example:

Goblin
AI description: Humanoid monster. Goblins use crude weapons to hunt and fight. Violent to most intelligent races. Goblins are a creature of nature but do not harmonize well with it, not caring for the environment around them, cutting portions of forests down just to create their camps and crude wooden fortresses. They have a terrible affinity for magic, goblin mages are extremely rare, their technology is crude and primitive

Goblin, Goblins
Dictionary description: A humanoid monster with long ears and green skin. They're always around 3-4ft tall. They live in forests and caves, making camps and fortresses. They form tribes with others of its kind, usually having a king or Orc leader.

i also wonder if i have to make every plural version of the entity or if i only need to do it if it's something like elf vs elves and skip it if it's just the same word but with S at the end

(1 edit)

i asked this question too! someone said that putting their physical description helps with space but they don't know by how much, i should also try and do this!
i also want to know the best way of using the dictionary, cause i feel like i'm just putting basic words like what a tree is in the dictionary in a desperate attempt to get space, and i'm wondering if that actually helps or not

Thanks! i'll put entity physical descriptions and where they're commonly located for my dictionary and leave everything else like their relationship to other entities and relationship to the world

OMG, i found the issue to my memory problem, so i was getting rid of a bunch of game rules, cause i tried another world that was bigger than mine but has less game rules and it ran fine, so i made a dupe world and got rid of some game rules and it went pretty well, i got rid of those game rules on the main world but it still had mega memory issues, i then duplicated the main world without changing anything and the duplicate world used almost no memory which was strange but pretty awesome, if anybody has a world they heavily and their memory usage on that world is really large try duplicating the world

edit: i did not fix the memory issue, it went back to being a few hundred over the limit, i shortened it but not enough :(

i have a question, does the AI read the description of stats? cause a lot of game rules i have in my big world talk a lot about stats and i wanna know if i can save memory by putting that information in the stat tab instead

some of my entities have long descriptions for the AI, does that take up space even if they aren't on screen? and if i put their long description in the dictionary will that help clear up space? or will the AI get confused on what they are if they're in the dictionary and not detailed description, or should i put some stuff in the dictionary like their appearance and leave other things in

when i set the memory to 121000 suddenly the AI just stopped writing anything, no text no options, i set it back to 3900 and it's still not working, i used the AI in the guide and that also didn't work either, the default AI works, it's just that every other AI doesn't, i followed the guide exactly, using an API token, changing endpoint URL, and copying the model name

(1 edit)

i tried the AI you recommended and when i started the game it was immediately went over half the memory usage, then on the second in game hour it went 12% negative and had an immediate story restart, BUT after the 2nd in game hour the memory started to stabilize but edging near 0%, but this was still so much better than immediately going 20% negative constantly, this was a great help! thank you so much! i'll try and shorten my world rules and entity/location descriptions as much as i can
something i did notice about this AI model is that it likes to write very short and unhelpful responses that just tell me to select choices

my message tokens have reached above the maximum context length [4511], i shortened some stuff in my world, i used different AI models, i lowered token output to 256, i put a LOT of stuff into the dictionary, i don't know what to do now but i feel like my notes have something to do with it? i tried the same world without any notes and it seemed to work fine but was constantly getting close to max usage even went a little bit over a few times, but my notes aren't that big only 282 characters and 53 words, there's gotta be something wrong i'm doing

do you recommend any AI's? i tried using LM studio for AI but it ate up way too much memory and gpu and the AI [qwen2.5-7b-instruct-uncensored] was practically a snail, should i use the AI that's in the guide or is there another you might recommend?

my memory usage keeps drastically rising more and more and the dictionary isn't helping anymore, what is going on? my notes are small, i'm using the dictionary to save memory, the world is a little big but i don't think it's too big to just suddenly spontaniously use 1000 tokens over max, is there something wrong i'm doing? i feel like this isn't intended, i'm using the default AI for the game

"This model's maximum context length is 4096 tokens. However, you requested 4258 tokens (3234 in the messages, 1024 in the completion). Please reduce the length of the messages or completion."

How do i raise the max amount of tokens?

update: i was playing again with barely any notes and my memory usage was somehow still too high, i don't know why it's so high by default, or maybe it's the world i'm using?
update 2: i'm starting to understand the dictionary a bit better, any time my memory usage is high i name a random item involved with what's happening and it helps, soon i will put every single thing in the dictionary and will have no memory usage! >:D

i tried using the dictionary and i feel like it didn't work, when i put my long note in the dictionary using the name of my character as the key and everything else as the value the AI completely forgot my note, it also felt like my memory usage barely changed

(1 edit)

so i put my really long note in the dictionary? i'm confused, my dictionary is empty, do i fill the dictionary with my very long note?

edit: i think i understand a little bit better? my long note has a ton of stuff from my appearance, characteristics, abilities and lore, do i put that in the dictionary and keep stuff like inventory and who's currently accompanying me in my notes?

my memory usage is constantly way too large and i feel like it's because of my really long note, maybe in a future update you could let us have multiple notes so the AI doesn't have to constantly read one really large note and instead read only the important ones to save memory?

(1 edit)

yup! used the save file and finished the update, it was awesome! mimi is my favorite so you know i had to immediately get caught by her on purpose for both the shelf section and bag section :P and thank you again for making sections replayable! though i wish there was a way to skip some of the long cut scenes after viewing them the first time, sometimes i just want to replay the boss battle

ashton is invisible now, how do i fix this? he becomes visible when in grass for some reason. [i'm using my save file from version 0.0]
edit: i fixed it by using the save file that came with the update
edit 2: i finished the update and i wanna say it was AWESOME! i really loved it and can't wait for more, i'm also very thankful that you made boss fights replayable, sometimes i wanna fight them for fun and sometimes there's an interaction i missed in the boss fight, i hate being locked out of content after finishing it even if it's pointless to go back to that content, so i'm really happy that you did this

i'm not getting enough money to summon new units or upgrade barracks after i got the allies level increase upgrade

i really want to see new worlds, maybe one where your shrunk?

i hope we get to see more mimi! she's the best girl, i hope we can become her pet or get trapped inside her mask! or on a more wholesome side i hope we can help her get over her anxieties and learn more about her, maybe even find out a secret or two about her, i'm hoping that under her hat are cute cat ears and she's secretly part beastkin~

i'm getting a ton of error messages saying "the ai model was unable to produce the correct json format. try a different model." and i thought i followed the tutorial perfectly, sometimes it works and i just have to wait a bit to get to the next hour but it's a bit annoying, sometimes the default ai does this too

i found it, i literally just had to go down when teleporting to the forest, i am quite the doofus

the part i got stuck on was when we arrived at rhode and i had to go somewhere but i forgot where  and nobody is reiterating [i'm pretty sure i checked every npc?]

i really would like some way to know what your suppose to do next cause i forgot where i was suppose to go because i got side tracked and forgot the important text in the story :(
