yes, when I'm trying to use an item to progress I'm prompted to use two fingers, which closes the menu :')

Am I being stupid or am I not doing the start correct, I'm on Android and when I go to inventory to use the healing plants it takes me back, any way I can get past this part on Android? I'm using two fingers as instructed bit it's also linked to going back on the menu - thanks in advance!
