A really original idea that works beautifully. Having everything laid out in front of you and having to deduce from that perspective is a very interesting approach. The puzzles are well balanced, challenging enough to make you think without ever crossing into frustration. The visuals are really pleasant with a lovely PSX vibe, and the oppressive atmosphere built by the rain, the door sounds and the alarm beep had me fully convinced the ending would be darker than it turned out to be, which made those "congratulations" all the more delightful! 😄 Making something this complex in just one week as a solo dev is impressive, so very well done!
What an experience! A truly wonderful jam entry! The idea is original, the execution is superb, the illustrations are incredible, and my goodness is it funny. The mid-competition interruptions, the meme references, and Spinerilla's dramatic rise during the acceleration... Absolute Cinema. A flawless entry from start to finish, congratulations to you both!
I thought this would be tricky to get into at first, but it turned out to be remarkably quick to pick up, which makes for a really pleasant experience! The visuals are stunning and feel consistent with the quality of your other games from what I could see, the animations are wonderfully fluid, and the sound design and music tie the whole atmosphere together perfectly. For me this is a 5/5 across the board, and it's even made me curious to check out the rest of your work. Excellent job!
I noticed this has already been mentioned, but I'll add my voice to it too: the mobs might have too much HP, and beyond extending fight length or whatever the intent might be, it risks discouraging players from pushing further into the game, which would be a real shame given how polished this project is overall!
Compared to the other entries in this jam, this game really stands out as unique. The visuals are beautifully executed and creepy, the CRT effect plays a huge part in building that atmosphere (though I'll admit the signed letter at the start was a little tricky to read). The pacing builds tension nicely and cleverly subverts the usual tropes of general knowledge TV quiz shows, leaving you with plenty to think about which makes it all the more interesting! Excellent work!
The game is really well made, with beautiful visuals and remarkably clean animations. I particularly loved the little zoom effect on the sharp U-turns, it adds a great sense of dynamism to the gameplay. The upgrade system is really well done, I'll admit I don't quite have the skills to reach the 10-minute mark, but even the few upgrades I picked up made the impact clearly felt. A good entry for this jam, really solid work!
I was not expecting this and certainly not AN ENTIRE CASTLE FULL OF SKELETONS! A really original and well executed experience, once you get the hang of the controls the platformer section is a lot of fun. The only downside is the file size, which is completely understandable given the level of quality, but it's a shame as it likely puts people off downloading it because this is a very good entry for this jam. Nice work!
A cool idea and it's great that a multiplayer mode was included! The physics and collisions are well handled, and the solo AI is solid enough to make the combat fun! One thing worth flagging: I think I stumbled upon a glitch where staying pressed up against the AI results in winning almost every time, so that might be worth looking into.
On a separate note, downloadable games tend to get less visibility in jams since people are often hesitant to download unknown files. I think this game could really benefit from a web export, it might be worth looking into Godot's HTML5 export option to reach a wider audience. Best of luck with the jam!
The graphics are charming and the early Zelda influence comes through really clearly, you can also feel the effort and care that went into the game. If I may share a couple of observations: the enemies feel a little too tanky at the start, which can slow things down early on, and the pathfinding lines between the player and enemies are visible (not sure if that's intentional or a bug worth looking into). Either way, nice work!
A really original idea, I don't think I came across anything quite like it during the jam! The gun animations are well crafted, funny and creative, and discovering the different weapon effects is fun. A strong foundation all around. Nice work!
One small thing worth mentioning: at one point I fell through a platform and found myself falling endlessly into the void with no way out! A respawn system could be a great addition to prevent that from happening! 😄
There's something weirdly charming about wandering through caves as an opossum and it works surprisingly well! The levels are interesting, the new mechanics flesh out the gameplay nicely, and overall it's a solid foundation for an opossum-platformer. Nice work! That said, the connection to the jam's theme wasn't immediately clear to me.
