Thanks for playing & for the kind words! I’m glad it was still playable for you!
30 damage was the max scale for the fireball so you got to see the biggest one!
Hi! Thanks for the feedback
Letters are pulled “randomly” basically the same weight as grabbing letters out of the scrabble grab bag
Damage is calculated by the scrabble letter points in a word times a (very) small multiplier based on word length.
Yes the team created all the assets for the game except the bear and wolf noises which we got on pixabay. Rest of the noises were made in pico 8 or FL studio and art drawn in aseprite.
Hi! Thank you for playing and the feedback! These suggestions are definitely on our list for future updates. Especially the getting new letters, the original system for that we had in mind was too resource expensive to implement so we just opted for tossing more vowels in lol. Think we’ll go with a button that takes your turn and regenerates the whole grid. Thank you again!
This was super cool! I love the Pokemon games and this was a neat play on the battle formula. I encountered a bug where I opened the inventory screen and then the fight screen and I couldn't use any moves and got soft locked. This was after I sprinted around the map away from the zombies. Super cool controller frame too, felt just like I was using an emulator haha. Nicely done!
Super detailed lore, caught me off guard. I thought I'd just stroll into the forest and then wow an entire storyline appeared! Nicely done. Fun game, the hunters did NOT want to leave me alone!
I feel like I won the game by collecting only the metal and the vial? Not sure, it said I was mortal again and then faded to black. Interesting... Lots of fun!
Loved the art and music! Sea shanty vibes are my favorite. Combat was fun, but I found myself hitting enemies down to 1% a lot, felt like they should have just sank haha. I also noticed the ultrawide grey bars, the trade off was I could see all the landmarks clearly! Great art, music, combat, controls everything! Well done.
