You have a really good start for an escape game here. I think I got as far as I could, before all the doors shut on me and locked me in the central room, if that is supposed to be where it ends. I especially liked the "food" puzzle and the "humility" puzzle -- clever solutions!  Didn't find any major bugs -- just needs more time to polish it up, and describe the game a bit more on the page here. I don't know if you plan to finish it now, but it's definitely a good start.

Incredible atmosphere and creative use of "last message" as a puzzle-solving mechanic! Funny you compare it to Umineko -- it reminds me more of  the shrines in Zelda BotW.  I could easily see an expanded game with many more puzzles to solve and world to explore. Nice job!

Despite this game being called a "prototype" it is a complete experience from start to end, and I loved every second of it. Great explanation of cryptographic methods alongside a very well-written blog site that hides a huge secret. Looking forward to the full version!

This was so much fun! Despite the very short time limit, I managed to solve it on my first try (with a few seconds remaining), and I absolutely loved the solution!

This is a very cool tech demo and use of AI! Unfortunately, sometimes the characters will directly contradict the events that occur as time moves on, and the AI service sometimes goes down, making it unnecessarily difficult or impossible to play. I would also suggest adding a balanced way to gain investigation points so resources feel less scarce. But I think what you managed to build is really impressive still!

I had a lot of fun! Very creative and balanced game concept that could easily be expanded into a much bigger game. I had no problem making deductions for what ingredients to use. Only problems were that it was a bit annoying moving between screens so many times, and the memory puzzles on the final day were very hard -- but I did beat the game with plenty of coins to spare. Excellent artwork and music too!

Short and simple, but very fun! I agree with others that the accusation section was a nice test, and that the rooms were a bit confusing to navigate after taking the items from them. But I liked it a lot!

I had a lot of fun playing this one! I managed to get everything correct on the first try except for the motive, but after reading the solution I agree that it makes sense. The computer interface was also done well. Nice work!

This was a really good first game! I reached the ending without any real trouble, but I agree with the other comments that fixing the various bugs and adding a "run" button would improve the game. Really liked the pixel art and the use of ambient sounds, and the dialogue was very fun to read. Looking forward to an expanded release on Steam!

Great concept and execution! I didn't have any trouble deducing the answers, and when I did it revealed a very satisfying story. Would be very cool to see an expanded game or sequel with more chat logs to look through.

Unfortunately there are a lot of bugs that make this difficult to play, but I did manage to reach an ending somehow. The writing, art, and music are really good though. Solid point-and-click gameplay with puzzles, plus optional story logs was a fun way to do things. Hopefully you can add a bug-free version after the jam ends.

Despite the fact that the game is technically unfinishable, it was a very fun experience that lasted over an hour.  Very unique blend of game mechanics and atmosphere, and your itch page really doesn't do it enough justice.  Slowly uncovering each message by searching for the next one was fair and fun -- I never felt too lost -- and the introduction of each new game mechanic had great pacing all the way through. There is a lot of potential here and I hope a finished version is uploaded after the jam.

If you're into mystery games, you can definitely find friends in the Mystery Gamedev Discord server! That's actually one reason why I wanted to make a multiplayer game for the Mystery Game Jam. We need more friends in the world.

Also, if you're just curious how the game works, you can technically "play" it solo if you open up a few extra browser tabs. But I agree that a gameplay video would be nice to have on the page, too. Thank you for the feedback -- and glad it sounds interesting!

What criteria will the judges use for voting on the entries?

Can one person submit multiple entries?

Thanks for playing! I do intend to post an "answer key" at some point, but first I want to give people some time to figure it out on their own. You can do it!~

First, thanks for playing! This game was made for a crypto game jam last year and I was unable to finish everything in time. So the simple answer is that unfortunately it doesn't work yet, and what you are playing is what I was able to get finished before the deadline.

That said, I have continued to learn a lot about crypto, trading, and technical analysis during the past year, so I would like to return to this project one day and improve it (and finish it). I am totally open to suggestions, so if you have any, feel free to let me know.

Thank you for playing the first demo! Please let us know what you liked, what you disliked, what you think could be added to the game, any questions you might have, or any problems you encountered while playing. We want to make sure we're creating a fun experience, and any comments will be very helpful.

After looking into things, it seems the Android version isn't working properly at the moment. In the past the game could be read with the ONScripter Plus Android App, but since we increased the screen resolution the game no longer fits the phone screen. We'll remove the tag until it is fixed. In the meantime, you can still play on other platforms. Sorry for the confusion, and thank you for bringing this to our attention.

You can download all of my fangames here. Enjoy!
