Thanks for the comment.
Perhaps one day I look into the visuals, but as an amateur designer there are only so many free hours in the week!
:O)

Hex Flowers are super customizable - I've done quite a lot with them - you could Google for them and/or look for my blog

Ah, it's OK, I like the 1 page format, so I guess I'll bow out of this jam.

Look forward to seeing what other people submit in the next 24 days.

Good luck with it all.

I believe the requirements are:

  • small: 5000 words or less in length
  • weird: (focusing solely on the mechanical aspect) do things as differently from D&D as possible
  • OSR: despite their weirdness, they must remain compatible with adventure modules, hexcrawls, dungeons and so on from at least one version of D&D

The first 2 are good.

As for the third, I think this system can be used with "adventure modules, hexcrawls, dungeons and so on from at least one version of D&D". For sure, you need to do some work to convert stat blocks. But, it is hard to imagine a weird mechanic (especially one that does "things as differently from D&D as possible") that will slip seamlessly into an old systems without some changes needed.

Happy to withdraw the submission if you feel it is outside the scope of the Jam.
