OH MY GOD YES I think also because there are different kinds of dragons in this game it feels a bit like neko atsume with narrative! Definitely encourages the player to want to collect them all... like Pokemon I guess LOL

I can definitely see Get Out as being somewhat similar to this, but also Peele's Us as well! Definitely plays with the idea of the other/doppel but feels a bit more disjointedly intimate than scary.

You're so right actually. This does sort of remind me of The Office with its silly and unserious approach to the life of an white collar employee. I think that the humor here really works for the game!

This reminds me a lot of Slay the Princess for some reason (I think it's sort of because of the dungeon aspect)! I think this game would be great with some audio or a bit more expansive endings.

I definitely agree with this! The gameplay seems to mostly fall down to the dice rolls and luck of the draw. Could be really fun if there was some multiplayer aspects in this!

This was super cool! I like the typing aspect (though I wish it was a bit quicker)

The beginning of the game definitely reminds me a bit of Simulacra and Mystic Messenger though! I think playing around with the chat feature could be really interesting.

This game sort of reminds me of Dredge and Iron Lung! It definitely feels like there's something ominous out in the waters that you don't really get to learn about.

Oh god I'm terrible at math so so bad at math (failed) but this actually more than any particular game reminds me of those minute math things we had to do in elementary (finish your multiplication tables in a minute!!!)

@gloriium/ellie

This is super interesting and I could feel the sci-fi influence on this. I ended up essentially feeling like I sold my soul, lol. Is there a larger argument to be made about senseless violence against an animal and the lengths we go to to hurt others?

@kayab

the concept and story you have is really interesting and I really enjoyed the choice of narrative and having a narrator. The dialogue was less engaging but I enjoyed of what was presented.

It's fun that you've drawn upon an existing concept to make your game (referencing what you want through the usage of music). Even though you said the skybox is bad but I kind of like the pinch at the top cause it looks really intimidating LOL

I think it's interesting that you've connected your work to a different reading. I would be curious to see if there is anything else you would want to do with this scene.

I like how you've created a scenario that makes the player interested to see how you might explore this idea in the future. I sort of wish there was a bit more storytelling/hints in the furniture.

I like this feeling of almost being trapped in a room, especially while we're looking outside in this realm that doesn't feel like what we have seen inside.

I'm interested by how you've chosen to scale the game. It's interesting how little you feel in this setting. Playing with darkness and player field of vision in the future again would be interesting and I wanna see more with what you want to do with this!

also i appreciate the alphys music

I like how you've constructed the room and created a subtle lonely/disjointed feeling.

I like your exploration of showcasing different characters that exist on the same map, as well as the characters' interactions with one another.

This was super awesome and I like the integration of animations into your game. I think the cinematic cutscenes really helped your game to feel like a complete experience!

I think the mechanic is really fun and makes it feel like theres an objective while you're exploring the town!

I like the way you use scaling to make it really feel like you are exploring a kitchen countertop!

I like the atmosphere of the game! The redness of everything makes feeling small feel very scary.

I like the use of models and cohesive color scheme. It's definitely unsettling as you look at the statues that are a bit off or creepy, and the ambience definitely sells the creepiness of the pale garden.

Super interesting. I'd love to see more done with this game and maybe some more secrets?

The sound really works and I like how you edit the player's gravity so they can get a sense of the space they are in. I do sort of wish that there was more to do in the experience and that the space was less wide so the players could walk a little further.  I like the way you played with shadows though!

This is so cool. I like how things change each time you enter the doors, though I sort of wish that it felt more like a true infinite loop (like if it brought you back to the beginning/first room). But I could see how you could maybe expand upon this game and make it into an identification game/anomaly game (like Exit 8 or Observation Duty)

This is so so so so cool. I don't have any complaints, I think that narratively this story is so interesting and the text establishes the mood super well. Amazing job.

This is a really smart idea for a game and the audio really helps the narrative of it! I almost feel bad for the "bad thought" that we are playing. Even though the game is really short and I'm unsure if there is an ending, I really like that for the meaning of the game as a whole.

Really impressed by the layout here and the way that the player is actually able to go outside and see the world/planet. I wish there was a bit more indication that the player would be sent outside and be unable to go back inside since I wasn't done looking around, but that's a pretty small complaint. I love this!

I'm impressed by how you've found models that mesh well and create a very cohesive environment. The way that the room itself is placed on a platform that cannot be seen at all is really interesting (feels like skywars lol)

The only thing is that I wish there were some colliders on the furniture.

I think you've set up the atmosphere of the world really well. While there isn't too much to see, I like the sky you've chosen and the way the shadow plays on all the assets. The audio is also pretty creepy.

It's impressive how you've used Unity's tools to make all of these things! I wish there was something to do with the weapon we are holding (maybe it just makes us feel a bit like the others who also have their weapons HAHA)

Very cute game! I think you do showcase how the 3D assets in the game can be used.

I like that you've managed to create a sense of endlessness with the landscape and textures. With very few markers, it's easy to get lost, which really suits the world of the backrooms you have placed us in. I do think there is a bit of a scaling issue when it comes to the player and the doors, but I really like this.

This game is super awesome and the music really serves to create the atmosphere and vibe of the world. I do wish that there were some secrets hidden around the world so that there was a bit more to find, but I'm intrigued to see what more you have to do with these characters in the future.
