What is stopping someone from rating a game one star on everything?

It seems that there are still quite a lot of submissions in need of ratings. Please help out and rate.

Why did my game just go down 40 spots? Is that normal?

edit: Nevermind, it seems that the popular category is just like that.

Amazing game! It could use a few more gameplay elements, and also I jumped on top of some enemies without taking damage. But overall, good job!

Cool game! At first, I was stuck on the tutorial, but then I noticed you had posted a new version. I like the background music, but it gets repetitive at a point. Other than that, great job!

Loved your game! Making a shield of bullets around the player and having the enemies run into it was really fun.

If you have time, please check out our game.

The first part of the second level was pretty hard. I kept getting stuck there. Also, yeah, I didn't read the part about the game being to the music until now.

Great game! I loved the spring and all the animations. In some levels it feels like more game elements should be added rather than having just ground, but overall, good job!

Amazing Game! I liked the narrator. While I was playing, though, the music would restart every time I died. Since I'm pretty bad, and the music kept doing the first second over and over again. Anyways, loved your game!

Good game! I liked the sound effects. If there were other things besides just cars that you were passing, and the character was different, this game would be amazing.

If you have time, please check out my game.

Nice game! I had a great time playing, especially listening to the explosion noise when I blew stuff up. The UI needs a bit of work though. There's no quit button, and you can't go back to the menu once you start playing. Overall, though, great game!

How is everyone getting so many ratings?

Thank you!

The narrator audio is pretty quiet and hard to understand, so I'll update that if I can. I'll also add some text in the controls menu about pressing more than one button at once. As for the controls, does it feel too punishing?

There's also another bug I haven't mentioned where the end of the game won't play, and it freezes the screen instead.

Thanks for your input!

How does the rating system work? How does it place each game?

I have no idea why I only have one rate.

There is a bug where you won’t take damage in the levels. If that happens, all you need to do is quit and reload the game.

A second bug also makes the game freeze at the end of Level3. At the end of Level3, make sure you touch the orb before you land on the ground beneath it or the game won't work.

Yes, it says it was submitted 3 hours and 57 minutes before the deadline, but I actually submitted it like a couple of minutes before the deadline. It doesn't matter though, since it's in.

Edit: I have no idea what just happened, but it seems like my game submitted before the deadline.

When I click submit it creates a new itch.io page, but

I dont think that that actually submits!

I have a page up but its not working.

I hope this will work because they can see how long ago it was submitted.

I guess we'll figure out soon.

I was just wondering if there had to be only one button, or if there could there be a gameplay element that has something to do with one button. For example, a game where you have multiple buttons, but if you press more than one, you lose.
