Hello! Downloaded hotfix, deleted old 0.8.3, installed 0.8.3.1, imported my saves still getting softlocked. Am I doing something wrong?

Thank you for creating this game, liking it very much so far!
Areas look very nice and I really appreciate amount of effort you put in designing them. Also got very excited by house upgrading, just love this stuff in RPGs.
Characters so far are also feel alive and very charming.
Though unfortunately I have run into a problem:
I have downloaded public version 8.3.0 for android (version 11), finished 'prologue' with Hannah and then ran into an issue: the game for some reason thinks that I am playing on web version.
It creates `saves.json` file in my download folder and then tells me to download the game and import this file into a game. Then quits to the main menu.
I tried to do as I am told anyway: cleaned up my saves, restarted the game for a good measure, imported my saves.json file, they were imported successfully, restarted the game, and then tried to load autosave.
Upon loading, again, game thinks that I am on web version, makes another 'saves.json' and throws me back to main menu. Rinse and repeat.
Could you help me out?
There is also slightly annoying issue of not being able to turn android game pad off permanently, as in my case it is much more comfortable to play without it. But this is a minor inconvenience.
