hey right on!! I thought I was just gonna get ripped on for the harsh sounds but you get the concept lol. Was trying to make it sound like it was being played through an old transmitter or something. Thanks!

haha thanks! I know it’s definitely not easy listening but it was fun to make.

I really like the breakdown on this and the drums during the breakdown. Gives it a great structure. Some of the longer melody lines remind me a LOT of a song called Reminders from Jaga Jazzist. I think you might enjoy them if you are not already familiar. This would be awesome in the right game.

I am curious though what your take is here as far as fake genre goes? Like 8bit prog jazz? I enjoy it!

I really like this track. Of all the fake genre tracks I feel like this one would have the strongest chance to take hold and solidify into an actual genre haha. I like to imagine what you mean by “fake-out psyche”, to me it’s a bit reminiscent of DJ Krush but with a sort of Desert Rock fusion. Sweet!

I really liked all these but without any descriptions it was hard to find the connection to the fake genre theme. It felt like sort of random themed songs from video games. All the songs are cool though! Good work

I really like the bass progression on this one. I also love the bass tone. With some low end mixing on the other tracks for the bass to stand out and growl a bit more maybe would be slick. But part of what makes this feel like a diff genre IS all the low end of the track haha.  This def feels like a fake genre/hybrid. Good work!

love the extra effort put into the interface e and listening experience. Adds to the nostalgia and the feel of it in a big way. I can’t help but to feel this is a very common genre though as it sits in line with a sort of “chill beats to study to” or lofi sounds. Would have been fun to hear a cassette take of like a future genre. Old tech meets futuristic sounds to make a “future lofi” or “future analog”  haha. I enjoy the song and the interface. Good work!

I like this and it also feels oddly familiar. This mix of sounds makes me reminiscent of like early video games that were of a gothic horror nature. The cathedral organ type sounds mixed with midi and the drum tones reminds me of like old snes horror games. It’s hard for my brain to track it as a fake genre when it sounds so intentional and familiar haha. But I am old and grew up on those games. Would really love this in a horror/action game

I really enjoy and appreciate the thought and effort that went into this one. You also taught me something new about a genre I know little about. Kudos!!

the song feels like a fever dream. Like waking up with a cold sweat and not remembering where you are haha. It has a very nostalgic but eerie vibe to it. The little clicking percussion makes me feel paranoid almost. Great mix of genres for something that’s not only unique and different but enjoyable to listen to. Can absolutely see this in a horror game as sort of the “safe room” song.

One of my favorites so far!

I love the layers of drone like sounds on this and how the instruments and vocal parts sort of weave in and out throughout. I’d be curious what your take on this would be as a “genre”. It’s giving incantation.

Because it’s Cthulhu I like wave and thought of “ancientwave” lol. 🤓

bbq ranch is saucy AF to be honest. No bland dinners here. “It’s ranch night”

okay so this one immersed me the most so far. I love the setup and the sort of mockumentary/found footage vibe to it. And all things considered the piece sounds believable in this space.  I love that you went full on with the world building side of this. Good work!

I enjoyed a lot of aspects like this. The breathy talk singing halfway through gives a real “Yaeji” type energy that sounds awesome. A bit god heavy lol.

Fake Genre name suggestion : “Bible Thump”

fun!

This game is really well executed and has some cool systems built in.. I feel like this could be fleshed out into a successful incremental horror! I really like the world too, and the glowing red eyes creeping closer is pretty damn effective. I want better creature poop too!! lol

Very well pieced together! I could see this remodeled and sped up just a bit and being a really fun game to play.. More variation on music and ambient sounds would keep me playing for even longer! good work!

I thought this was a neat bite sized game. You nailed down a really elegant mechanic and system and made something playable with it.. I like the slow visual warp over time as well ass the added little sights and sounds throughout... And the ending scare when you lose actually got me pretty good haha.

Really loved the feel of this. It was that sort of introspective horror LOL. The music was fantastic and the sounds too. The talking sound of the skeleton sounding like rattling bones is very nice.. Great work!

Jesus Christ this scared me so bad hahaha. I love the unique camera motion and I really love this hospital environment. The spatial sound design is really well done and super haunting. I'm going to play this some more for sure!!

Honestly had a good time struggling through this. Took a while to figure out my "system" so to speak haha. Great sounds and awesome art. Well made!

I can run around in this world listening to that piano for hours, haha. Great environment!
